Damn... If vuc keeps shooting this up ... He'll have the best shooting season for a big man in history.

Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks. Lol. But that's an impressive development

Do you guys think trying to field an offer in this case is "too hard" for our "exceptionally bold" FO? (as Weltman complained earlier before the season started)

Redick has played like crap so far but he might just need to change the scenery, he's an experienced vet after all and shouldn't have problems in terms of being productive. He'd be a nice addition in terms of shooting and vet leadership. I'd love to see him in a Magic uni again. Why not finish his career with us? That'd be great.

Lonzo is a whole another story. He might demand to start especially given Fultz is out for a long time. Are we ready to start a new PG experiment??? Not sure it's a smart move.

Do you think we might join as a 3rd team in a multi-player deal with Pelicans and other parties? It seems like Pels are determined to re-shuffle their roster and a multi-team deal might be possible. Wizards should be on the brink of tearing their dysfunctional bunch of players...finally. They might be interested as well.

Oubre is available. Brooklyn is on the look for any deal that might deliver them some frontcourt help and vet defenders. Sacramento is reportedly shopping Buddy Hield and Bjelica.

There is some ground for deals around the league with all those reports and injured players.

Thoughts?

A straight up trade of Fournier for Redick will save 3M in salary this year.

I really don't care about saving management money for this year on swapped expirings. We need an asset for Evan (for next year +). I love JJ and, if there was a discussion about re-signing for 10m and ending his career in ORL - I'd be all for it...but I don't see that being his dream scenario.

JJ probably wants to be closer to home, in Brooklyn or NY.

Fournier is far superior to JJ at this point, and far is probably not nearly a strong enough word. We should move Fournier, but we have to get something back for the future, not a 36 year old 3 point specialist who is a HUGE negative on defense. He is expiring as well, so if that is the salary we take back fine, but it is just as salary filler.

The best thing about Redick these days is his podcast.

Guys, you do realise JJ Redick is almost 37 years old ,averaging 8 ppg on terrible shooting, right?
Might as well make a trade for Turkogulu, atl least he knows where to get HGH.

What would it take to get Aaron Gordon to the Celtics.

Obviously some TPE, but would Grant Williams and a couple of picks do it?

Isaiah Thomas posted a photo of himself wearing TMac era Orlando Magic shorts on Instagram. I doubt it means nothing.

They wanted a lottery pick during the offseason. Also they reportedly turned down Portland's offer of two 1st picks and Ariza. It's possible tho, i know they like Fournier and clearings Gordon's salary would enable them to keep him.

The Celtics should honestly call the Magic for Vuc. Tatum, Vuc, and Brown would be a serious threat in the East.

As for AG, does he even fit your team? Regardless, the Magic seem to have a high asking price for AG. Not sure the Celtics would want to give up 2, 3 1st round picks plus a player just for AG.

I'm all for it, makes sense for both teams and our chemistry. But.... WeHam!

I'd go AG into BOS TPE for Nesmith and G. Williams
or Nesmith and Langford
or Nesmith and a BOS frp

Even when the games are close the basketball is just not fun to watch. if they are just building this team to keep the fans entertained then go get some guys who are entertaining. That Cole buzzer beater was fun, but the majority of that game was terrible. If I wasn't a Magic fan I can't imagine a team I would rather watch less than this team on League Pass.

The purpose of that trade would be to carve out even more FA money. This trade "forces" Orlando to trade other multi-year players (ahem: Aminu). Added to Birch, Ennis, Fournier, et al., this is a max-level salary carved out for the 2021 off-season.

Nesmith himself is still a raw-prospect. It is a similar comparison to Okeke as to if he will even be a rotational player in the NBA. That said, if his long-ball holds uo, he could be a good SG in the league.

2 separate trades

Ag for tpe

Aminu for theis+nesmith+semi +frp

Then we can move Ross for expiring +picks
Suggs, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, Jett
Franz, TDS,

I’d do that, but I don’t feel the need to dump TRoss at all. If he were part of a pkg for someone big-fine. He’s a solid piece at a fair deal. Moving AG and Evan, IMO does not signal a teardown- more of a reallocation of assets

That seems quite an overpayment to me.

Easily a top 15 center, a lotto pick, another frp and a decent but unspectacular forward while also taking back the negative value aminu

Return to Orlando Magic
