Why would any team give us anything for Harris, he's way overpaid, we'd need to pay to get rid of him.

We broke up Alex Martins' NBA Finals team.

Not the best not the worst return for Gordon. Better than Boston deal, but worse than potential wolves deal. Now we must restore Harris value. Good for Clifford that he is already bald.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

The best part is that his 2030 prediction actually seems reasonable at this point. In fact, I would quite honestly be shocked if we won one before then. We have an extremely long rebuild ahead of us with no guarantee of it resulting in a finals caliber team.

Basically cleared the deck. Will have substantial draft capital this upcoming draft and could potentially get two good players coming back from injury next year. Don't get me wrong we're in for 2-3 years of horrific basketball but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I think The Magic should have gutted it out with Vuc.

The picks will be mid first round and while Carter looked good coming into the league, I am not really high on him although he could be a starter.

Getting Aminu moved was good but I still feel The Magic could have reset the wing with The Gordon deal, used the high draft pick this year and been a good team next year.

I guess we agree on approach, but you are higher on Isaac and Fultz than I am (or FO) now. It is not a terrible return, we are clearing the cap and deals reported so far accumulated 2 FP and 2 SRPs with minimal salary coming back. Let's see what AG will fetch.

This is a direction I was inclined for last month or so, fully aware of risks pepe highlighted. It comes down to FO having a plan or relying only on draft luck and latter might even mean many years or decade of pain.

I am very happy with the Gordon return.

I just wouldn't have given up going with Vucevic yet. We shall see.

That was quick. Depends on what Gary Harris looks like, he has settled with defensive role in Denver and might drive some people on this board crazy as here he will be asked to do way too much than he actually is capable of. TJ Hampton is someone I have not formed opinion on yet, quick stats look shows him as non-shooter both in college and in Denver. I guess that fact bundled with being tall PG bringing some wingspan historically fits our team ever since Jameer. Not sure which FP we got.

circumstances change and nba teams routinely make myopic choices.

fwiw hollinger believes he has the opportunity to rehabilitate some of his draft capital for the magic before flipping him if we decide to temporarily keep him on the roster.

I think Hampton can develop a shot. Let's see on Harris and the first will probably be a late one in the future.

I think the organization wanted to save money. Boston absorbed his salary.

They'll be fighting for a play in spot in my opinion. Will be very interesting to see how much better (if at all) Vuc makes them. I think we end up with 2 lottery picks this year.
Is the pick next season unprotected?

Vuc should get his own one, the other two you can combine in one thread.

AG deal isn't horrible at least.

I am impressed that they gutted the team and a proper rebuild is going to happen. Never expected them to do it. Part of me is sad, we have watched these players for years now they are all on different teams around the country. Crazy. I'll probably keep tabs on them for the next few months until I get bored and don't care anymore.

The Magic had their pick of the litter of young prospects around the league. A lot of this deal will come down to how Hampton and Carter Jr. pan out. They're essentially draft picks. The Magic scouting and talent evaluation team will be under scrutiny.
