Is there someone else in the 2024 draft that we can get hyped about so that when we lose, we can cheer for the tank that season? I get that some want whomever is in this draft but we have to break this cycle at some point.

Players improve.

It's very likely that Franz and Paolo and Suggs will all be better next season.

The Magic have cap space and seem likely to pursue at least some veterans too.

Just relax.

Momentum doesn't truly carry over season to season like that.

It doesn't tangibly benefit the Magic to win 36 games instead of 34, ya know?

You’re right. The cycle of focusing on the draft stops after this season. No one was saying that last year.

We got the 3rd youngest team in the league, playing without our starting center who's the centerpiece of our defense, and are on pace to improve last year's win total by atleast 10.

That's a fairly significant jump by a young team, expecting a team of rookies & sophs to never make mistakes kinda defeats the purpose of growth?

No, see, I am not expecting Paolo to take over games and win it for us, but I am expecting our 3 years and onward who have been in this position for so long to step up and figure it out to teach Paolo, Franz, and Jalen how it is done. At this point, we have played with more people injured then not, we should be able to adjust because for years now, that’s all that’s been happening.

It's frustrating but these are the growing pains you have to go through. At least in this iteration of the rebuild, we have some legit prospects on this roster for once. Hitting in the lottery is one thing, but I really want to see the Magic address the shooting along with adding toughness to our front court. They may have done it sneakily with getting Goga, really liked how he played. If the rotations were better, he would have been available to close out the game. Utah's offensive rebounding came to a halt when he was in the game.

If Wendell is going to be out longer, would really like to see Goga in the starting lineup.

Pacers win BTW. We have a nice buffer now between us and the 6th worst spot.

I'm fine, I'm optimistic, I'm not freaking out about the big picture. But this game still pisses me off, and the coaching staff shouldn't take it easy on them.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Goga checked out with 2:58 to go and the Magic down 2.

The Jazz outscored them 13-8 in the final 3 minutes. Including two brutal OREB putbacks (one of them And-1) by Kessler.

But yeah. Pace or whatever.

Not as bad as Jason Kidd's Matrix dodge of accountability, but come on man. You don't even need to completely fall on your sword there. You can share your rationale while also acknowledging that maybe it was wrong.

WCJ health is an issue. He is great beyond the games he misses every season. Hope we add Jarace Walker or Taylor Hendricks.

I'm tired of seeing this team constantly lose games for years because they couldn't rebound the damm ball in crunch time. Including numerous times this year. Man up and get freaking rebounds.

After such a brutal February from 3PT, Paolo is 8/21 from 3PT so far in March.

A very workable .381%

Of course he's only 23/35 from the FT line (.657).

It’s nice that he was hitting them in the 4th quarter. You can tell he’s really learning to take over the 4th quarters. At least it’s nice to see that growth. Can’t wait until he’s able to put it all together.

Paolo at the 5 is 100% not tenable unless he gets a complete personality transplant over the summer.

He's way too soft to even play small stretches as a small ball 5 at this point.

We don't frankly have many players who have 3 or more years of experience. Fultz (who's been injured for half of it), Mo Wagner, Gary Harris, Bol Bol (who hasn't played till this year) are the only players on our team that played that can match that description.

If only winning was as easy as you describe it. We don't have any vets on our team who have been legitimate options on a winning team and you're talking about our couple players with still minimal experience teaching winning.

Just playing with players injured often doesn't mean teams will just learn how to overcome it, that's not how any of this works. Mo Wagner won't just overcome being awful on defense because WCJ has been out with injury

Paolo, Franz, Jalen, and Caleb are the only ones that don't match the description. And while I don't expect Goga and MCW to do it, I felt the others could have stepped up besides Markelle.

But it is what it is, I cooled off now. I guess we'll be better next season.
