did you see theis foul out in 3rd?

Nope... as i said i watched the highlights only.

So he fouled out and GER was forced to use MoeSwag? Wow even in the nationl team he is a bench player.lol

Germany just doesn't get franz the ball enough. They have gone like 4 out of 5 possessions where he hasn't even touched the ball.

Franz really came on after his first stint.

Paolo looked solid in limited minutes.

Germany is tough.

Usa just won't give paolo the ball. He has been open a few times and they jusy refuse to swing it to him.

That was beautiful. Would have preferred him pull that off on someone other than Paolo but still great to see Franz do well.

He’s young and needs to improve his defense. He has a role on this team and is playing it well. Give it time. This will pay off for Paolo, Orlando and future Team USA squads.

2nd game of a back to back for Germany and Franz is looking understandably exhausted.

Should be a great finish here.

Franz seems tired, but he's playing really hard....P5 seems out of rhythm but the effort is there

JJJ was DPOY to be fair. Also Franz looked like he ran out of juice towards the end, playing heavy minutes on a back to back will do that to ya.

Team USA could've used Wendell instead of Bobby Portis. He wouldve given them that stretch 5 Kerr is looking for.

Kerr was going with Paolo (a 5 that can handle the ball and pass), JJJ (a rim protector), Bobby (mobile stretch 5), and Kessler (traditional 5).

not that Bobby has been bad, but Wendell is just better.

Wendell is probably a better overall player than Portis, but nowhere near the floor spreading shooter (38.1% vs 32.1% career with Portis on higher volume in less mpg). It's probably the only reason Portis is there at all....they really need a rebounder. JJJ is a solid rim protector and Paolo is a fantastic offensive machine, but neither is much of a rebounder and that's going to hurt even more against bigger teams.
