Kira Lewis is a kid I *loved* coming out of college. I wanted him badly, but he went two picks before the Magic took Cole.

It hasn't translated yet, and he had a major injury too, but he's still just 22.

Also if you guys are going to live and die by specific rookie plays then it's going to be a long season. Their roles will be small to start out and will be important when we have injuries or rest days. Everybody else will have way more (and deserved) green lights.

It’s obvious that if we want to make the playoffs this year that we need to keep Black out of the rotation. I worry the FO will push player development first though and he gets more PT than he deserves for the sake of development.

I'm not super worried or anything. He's young and his head is probably spinning.

But the rookie head spinning thing is even more noticeable when you aren't comfortable shooting or scoring.

Whitmore doesn't know what he's doing either, ya know? But he's got an aggressive mindset so he can mindlessly attack and have success.

Yeah, I’m not super worried but it is not the mindset I wanted/expected to see from him to start his career.

He's in year 2, coming off an exhausting summer, playing in the FIBA cup where he hurt his thumb, at least give him until the 4th year before you make up your mind whether he deserves an extension.
