Honestly, who cares? We win because of defense and he sucks on defense. He was critical as a high usage guy and now Franz has proven he can do it, too. Paolo's game is lazy and soft.

Any contender-like future involves Paolo continuing to ascend, a gameplan that supports his success, and a PG to get him in favorable positions.

We need a playmaking guard. He's asked for it and Weltman has ignored it. The gameplan is just give 6'10 Paolo the ball and expect him to make something of nothing every play. It's brutal.

Does Paolo know how to get into favourable positions when somebody else is running point?

Who cares what he wants? He loves acting like he's a franchise savior and he's actually Julius Randle.

I don’t think that oblique is 100 percent healed. He looks nothing like himself physically.

The team has to adapt though, even in this game. If you know he’s off this bad, gotta explore other options.
Completely reasonable, it's just considering Paolo's Play in the post season and his play to begin the season OBVIOUSLY something is off and this is not the Paolo we know. So what purpose does it serve to constantly pile on the negativity? Especially when you know he's not himself?

My main concern is that he is himself but:

a) other teams have figured out how to neutralise him
b) without the benefit of the whistle the rest of his game falls apart.

But also I just need more patience for him work through the lumps.

Front office deserves some blame, but we are also watching Franz ascend with the exact same teammates.

We are a lottery team with Paolo playing like this and his teammates aren't soley responsible for his play. I think he will be fine, but this (his play) is mostly on him or his injury or whatever. Yes they need to get him help in the offseason, we know this.

Paolo stepped up during the playoffs and ascending when there was no spacing. He came into the season and had good games and 2 okay ones. But he was getting to his spots, hitting the middy, and getting to the free throw line. Then he got injured and came back like this. This is not the Paolo we know.

But his defense. Yeah, that’s just bad.

Every time they do the MVP chant, we miss it, and it's kind of cringy.

I legitimately just want to see him hustle on defense. That's all I'm asking.
