A lot of excitement for Jase. He will be in and out of rotation as how I predict. But his growth and maturity should elevate his game to a different level as the end approaching Playoffs. And he will grow and learn a lot by then. Excited for this kid

I’ve been very high on him but also realize if we want to win then we need to lean on Suggs and Tyus early on. Veterans win games.

I wonder what the reaction would be on here if in the 2nd game he puts up a stinker.

Like 0-5 3pt, 4 turnovers and etc etc

I mean, let's wait and see?

Even an absolute 0-7 turd with 8 turnovers from him wouldn't really change my opinion too much. Which isn't all that high compared to where we drafted him. I see him as a future role player. Whereas if he sticks to what he is known for he has a good chance of an NBA career.

Whether he becomes a diamond in the rough or literal gold will be waited on to be seen. I may even take back a lot of what I have said about the front offices ability to analyze talent.

You forgot you are on the Magic board? We deal with extremes here sir.

One preseason game gets you nominated for the HOF while the next game gets you special classes to learn Chinese.

Too much positivity here lately. I feel pepe isn't doing his job properly anymore. Must be married life that got him mellow.

If he's anywhere near that good then he should be playing, it shouldn't matter who's in front of him

Yeah if his early success translates then there’s no way Mose doesn’t play him significant minutes.

If he continues to literally not miss shooting 3s, we won't even let him sit. Play the entire 48 mins young rook!

Rookies CAN contribute...many don't, but many contribute early and often. Jase seems to have the confidence and poise to compete right out of the gate. Everyone expects high draft picks to contribute and there's ALWAYS guys later in the draft that jump right in and impress. I think Jase and Penda are already (potentially) rotation guys that will make the FO consider some veteran liquidations at the TD (depending on health).

Winning NOW is priority one but a distant second is managing our increasingly bloated cap...Isaac and Goga are great to have, but may not be kept around if they can be moved to restock our pick stash and/or free up a little Apron breathing room

Again, IF the rookies continue to impress.

Let’s see how the three goes when the real
Games start, but he looks promising and we will need that spark for the bench

McNeely listed as the #2 steal already? Love it.

Its interesting because out of all these players I would say Jase has put up the most consistency and is past due for a bomb.

This isn't to say long term anyone else will end up "the better player" but Jase is passing the eye test.

The thing that is promising about Jase is that he did in summer league exactly what he did in college and now he is doing the exact same thing in preseason. He's making his shots at an extremely high rate and not turning the ball over. So it gives me some belief that it is going to carry over into real games even though preseason/summer league often mean very very little.

Even if his limitations cap him out as a lower usage hyper efficient player it is a really nice fit with our stars. But you can also imagine him getting a little stronger or a little better handle or a little more range on his 3s to increase his volume and becoming a bit more.
