Haha you were watching the draft cam too last year huh? It was just bad to see our GM just sitting there hanging out doing almost nothing. At least act like you're doing something lol

You would think management would contact all their players... weird, if true.

this makes me:

1) question YBR's legitimacy. how would Dwight not know that his team had just signed a new GM?? surely someone in his circle would have kept him informed. is YBR just making this stuff up, or if he really is in contact with Dwight, is Dwight just toying with him with the info he gives him now?

2) question the legitimacy of Alex claiming the team has kept in touch with Dwight.

3) question how the f*** Dwight could NOT know that his team had just hired a new GM? he should want to know for his own benefit.

4) all of the above.

Exactly what I was thinking too. Dwight had to know that Hennigan is the new GM.

Reminds me of Tmac when they asked him about what he thinks about the Magic potentially drafting Dwight with the #1 pick and he goes and says "I dont know who Dwight Howard is" with disdain lol. Dwight could be saying in Cali right "I dont know who Rob Hennigan is" lol.

Chauncy Billups Said..
"I liked Clipperland. I liked the movement," Billups said. "I thought before I got hurt we really had fun and were playing great. I liked it a lot, but of course I would be crazy not to entertain any other offers that I might have. That's the fun of being a free agent."

Patience. We just hired the guy. Let's just see how the draft goes first.

Unlike past hires, where it felt like we had to "give someone a chance" Henny feels like the right man for the job, unlike Otis he's not going to give dwight away for nothing like he wanted.

If Howard attempts to strong arm, it will fail, with plenty of teams willing to rent
If Howard wants to stay, we can get back into contender status soon.

The east is wide open, Heat will have their finals hangover, I expect Dwade to continue his decline, they will be tough of course. Bulls have the DRose issue, Knicks are poorly constructed and badly managed.

Anderson is the key to everything he can bring us back something good for the 1,2, or 3 positions.
My thinking is try for Tyreke Evans, Kyle Lowry, or Aaron Brooks(swap of rights with PHX)
Keep Jrich unless we can get an acceptable deal
sign Odom to be our starting 3 or 4

try to move up in the draft, you know Austin Rivers would love to play for his hometown team, Kendall Marshall, I'd be happy with Moe Harkless

we got to get more athletic, and quicker, Harper may be able to step in and backup BBD and give us some shooting.

my optimal scenario
Lowry/?
Jrich/Rivers/Liggins(once Rivers shows he can start, then move Jrich, get Liggs mins)
Odom/Hedo(hedo cannot be a starter anymore)
BBD/Harper
Dwight/legit backup

I think Odom is possible if Brian Shaw is hired, he knows how to use him correctly, to his strengths

flame away

edit: left out JJ Redick, I think he holds alot of value in a trade, in a possible move up scenario to snatch Rivers
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Couldn't have said it better. We have to see how Hennigan's first official decision as GM is first before we start getting pissed at him for not making moves.
