Add Liggins and a couple of lotto/mid draft steals and you got a stew brewing

I love Liggins but he definitely needs to improve offensively. Wouldn't argue against having a future Top-5 NBA Defender on my team though. :D

It's depressing seeing these guys tweet about signing their 5 year extensions.

During the Wizards' rout, a heckler yelled at new Knick Steve Francis, "Hey Stevie, Where are you going next?" Francis turned to the fan and quipped, "To the bank."

2 of Houston's future 1st's
Toronto's guaranteed lotto pick
Boston's 1st (rumored for C-Lee)
And let's say a team like Portland strikes out in FA and offers their 1st for Scola

plus Lamb
and Royce White or T Jones
& the Knicks expiring contracts from the Camby trade or K-Mart

For Dwight plus J Rich and Duhon

Please oh lord baby jesus I pray to you to make this trade of trades happen!

Don't forget this would pretty much ensure we are a lotto team next year too.

If Hennigan pulls this off (or anything remotely close) it shows he knows how to build a team the right way.

Rockets remain strongly engaged w/ Orlando in direct talks for Dwight Howard, sources tell Y! They've spent little time on 3-way scenarios.

Yep, Orlando would have 2 lotto pics (theirs and Toronto's) Boston's 1st from C-Lee trade, and another teams 1st from Scola trade in next years draft. Plus Houston's 1st in the following draft (gotta make sure its unprotected in case Dwight walks) and another future 1st from the Rockets. Plus 2 draft picks from this years deep draft (Lamb and White). And with the front office we have now (all proven talent evaluators) that is how you rebuild on the fly

If we trade Howard to Houston, how long does it take us approximately to get a championship roster?

Certainly nothing being posted here. Morey wants a superstar, but he's not giving up his entire team for it. People have to remember it's not only just a 1 year rental of a injured Dwight - but a rental also hinges on the Rockets being able to impress Dwight. They're not doing that giving away everything to get him.

A realistic trade for a rental is the Toronto pick, plus one other first and then K-Mart and 2 young guys (1 if it's Lamb). If Houston is looking for more 1sts from Scola then it's likely because Henny doesn't like the young guys like White/Jones (makes sense considering all the PFs already) and would rather have his own pick

So something like

Toronto 1st Round Pick
2015 Houston 1st Round Pick
Kevin Martin
Jeremy Lamb

or

Toronto 1st Round Pick
2015 Houston 1st Round Pick
Kevin Martin
Chandler Parsons
Terrance Jones

in the second example you could switch Terrance Jones for another 1st rounder they get in a trade for Scola/Lee like I said

I won't be delusional and say it is imminent but honestly with that many young, promising prospects picked by proven talent evaluators it certainly gives us a great young core to add solid veterans to in FA.
