Dwight Howard hasn't personally informed the Los Angeles Lakers that he would re-sign next summer, but he's expected to do so very soon.

Do we have any idea what is really going on?!?!?

Alex has hitched his wagon to Jarod lately, so who knows.

Dude go away. Quit coming here and proposing the same trade over and overrr.

I dont know, id take that trade, 5 1st rounders including 3 next year (imagine henny with 4 picks in the 1st next year!), a good young center and PF, a large TPE and the cavs 2015 pick which will probably still be a good pick since its obvious dwight wont stay in cleveland AND we get rid of turk? What more would we want?

There's no way CLE does that trade knowing they have little chance in convincing Dwight to stay.

It looks like Jarrod finally got his wish. He was interviewed this morning on ESPNNY with Ryan Ruocco and Stephen A Smith saying the usual (e.g. Dwight does not trust Orlando mgmt, etc).

Sac pick is like top 13 protected, Miami picks will be around 28. not good picks at all. Rob could buy those picks. Zeller will be a career backup center, upside very limited. Thompson has shown that he was a HUGE reach.

get out with this trade

Cleveland is well known to be a difficult front office to deal with. That's a bigger probably m than an agent saying stuff

Exactly. There is zero reason Bynum wouldn't resign here. Makes ZERO sense. Of course he might rather stay with the Lakers because they are primed for a run right now - but once he realizes he's being dealt, of course he'll sign for the max to get a chance to be a #1 option on a team with no state income tax.

Alex Kennedy ‏@AlexKennedyNBA
It will probably be a few days before Dwight Howard is traded. The Magic will hire a coach (likely Jacque Vaughn) and then weigh options.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
A couple of coaching updates... looks like Jacque Vaughn is the leader in Orlando... no defined front runner in Portland job.

Probasketballdraft ‏@Probballdraft
Dwight's price will not diminish if traded in 2 months or 2 days. So Orlando should wait for their asking price to be met.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
None of the marquee type players will sign an EXTENSION, they all will get to July and cash much larger checks as unrestricted free agents.

Steve Kyler ‏@stevekylerNBA
For my Magic peeps... wrap your head around this concept... All things must fit the new culture. Team work. Humility. Sacrifice

agreed.

I think Cleveland's just diving in to harpoon any trade that would create a super team. They dove in and screwed up the Brooklyn deal, now maybe they're trying to do the same here. I love it if it's true.
