Yup, that's Jones. Every game I've seen him in he's shown that he has some serious butter fingers. He's like the kid in the YMCA league who panics when he gets the ball, which I don't understand because he's been in the NBA for seven years. This board is going to go off on him if he ever gets playing time. It probably doesn't matter who our 15th man is, but I'd prefer it to be a guy like osby than jones. I'm not convinced skinny jones can play PF/C any better than osby could even though he's shorter...

While I generally agree, Moe hasn't shown enough to be considered more than a bench player for now. That's not a knock, it just doesn't make sense that he start over other players that have shown more consistent promise.

For me, it probably doesn't help that I didn't like his game since college but I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Tony Allen.

Fair enough, and you could maybe but Lance Stephenson in there too, but you have to admit that those are exceptions to the rule. There's lots of starting wing players in this league with weak handles, but the vast majority can hit open shots.

No one now because of injuries. But when we're fully healthy Harris will most likely be at SF and BBD at PF. So he'll likely be a backup. Which isn't a bad thing which I'm sure you'll agree.

he should be a backup. you can argue that vets will get traded away, but after the coming draft he will just end up finding himself in the same situation again. he's a backup. he's a good backup.

I think it's too early to say he'll be a career backup. He's still young. While he might never be an all star, he can still be a very solid starter one day.

Though I do agree that if we trade our vets and he ends up starting this year that next year he might very well end up back on the bench.

Edit: I apologize if you weren't saying he is a career backup.

Yeah I don't disagree that he can find a home as a starter somewhere if he continues to develop, but I just don't see it here is all. And really, it's not just the draft pick because hopefully we will also be players in free agency at some point. I just don't see moe beating out other players. I'm making some assumptions about the quality of our draft pick of course.

Just from a few AM tweets, seems we might be seeing Maxiell starting at PF* Tuesday. Probably due to Harris' ankle, but you never know....

Except that's not what I said. All I'am asking is that he make wide open jumpers. He doesn't need to put up big numbers.

Seriously, someone PM me and let me know when a different discussion starts, one that actually makes sense.

The biggest question for me is how long to the Magic compete? We did until December last year and injuries got to us. Then a couple months later, coaching and management put the tank on. Will they do the same thing this year? If there are no injuries, will the trades start?
