Well of course he is gonna say he is partly to blame he hired JV after all he cant take none of the blame and honestly it makes him look more accountable which shows he cares.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

It will be a fun 2 weeks, if we hire a new coach it has to be by all star weekend, maybe FO will see how Borrego fares in the games ahead. Karl would be my choice, while at 63 may be pushing it but he seems he wants to get back to coaching and he has the experience. My other choice would be Malone, but watch we end up with Skiles lol.

Now that Vaughn's officially fired, it's time to start tweeting Karl: https://twitter.com/CoachKarl22/with_replies" target="_blank

Guessing they will say pretty much the same things.

I'm happy JV is gone.

I like the candidates. But, I'm not really sold on Malone. I hope, if we hire him, he shows us good things.

Look at it this way. If Borrego wins every game before the all star break then we may have stumbled upon something. If not, and it's obvious there isn't much change, we have a week and a half to go looking.

Wait what did he ask?

Its she, she asked JB if he knows spanish, than asked him a few questions in spanish to throw him off balance and than dropped the "Did JV deserve to be fired?" question

No. No. No. No. No.

I can talk myself into getting excited about pretty much any of the candidates discussed so far. But I can't do it for Mark Jackson. This guy is a bum.

Jazz fan here. Vaughn played for the Jazz. So did Mark Jackson for that matter.

There's probably no one else in the league that I dislike more than Mark Jackson. (Maybe if I thought about it.) I was happy when he was fired. I could be happy for Bogut (University of Utah alum) once Jackson was gone.

Reason? He tried to split the locker-room in Stockton's last year playing. That was a major reason Stockton hung it up. Stockton wasn't an angel on the court, as he set some dirty picks, so don't get me wrong, he's no choir boy despite his looks. But Jackson tried to lobby for the starting job, when he knew signing the deal who was the man. He was upset with how Sloan gave Stockton the benefit of the doubt in practices.

I didn't have real sense of concurring bad acts until after GS revealed his ways and fired him.

In the WOJ thread I talked about this a little before the mod closed it. Borrego went over spurs film with the team before the game. Was it a coincidence the game was close? Maybe, maybe not. There is a chance we might promote him to HC in April a la Scott Brooks in OKC when Carlesimo was fired.

JB has a pretty good track record too. Seven years as Pop's assistant. SEVEN YEARS. In that stint SAS won two championships. But time will tell. If we do end up hiring a coach right now, I'd prefer Karl with Malone being the lead assistant. Unlikely scenario, I know, but it'd be pretty awesome. Of course, options do open if we wait until the offseason with Thibs and all. There's also the option of going for a hit-or-miss rookie coach a la Budenholzer or Kerr with the Hawks and Warriors.

FYI, this is a very similar timeline that Kevin Durant experienced with the Supersonics/Thunder, except he went through two HC changes. I want Nate McMilan

I'm glad this is finally over, now if we can just hire Karl and have a decent off season we may be onto something next year. It all starts with a legit coach though.

Pop is 66, Karl is 63 so he is getting up there. I think it would be up to him to determine if he is willing to coach for the long haul.

He said recently he's up for one more 3 to 5 year stint.
