honestly if you get top 5 in this draft you can't go wrong....Mobley would be the only one that wouldn't make sense fit wise unless you're moving on from vuc

For me.. mobley is a better fit than kuminga... but mobley would be more effective with Vuc but that would mean trading JI.

Kuminga, even though I haven’t watched a full game of his, compares to Siakam/Isaac.... pass.

We need an initiator on offense. Kuminga and Mobley don’t really fit that mold.

If Orlando is bad enough to earn a top 5 pick this year, I would prefer it be someone to replace Evan and finally have this organization play non 90s era basketball.

from what i've watched he's more of a SF than PF....i went in looking for jalen green film and left more impressed by kuminga....if you're passing on kuminga it better be for cade

Yeah I just can’t be sold anymore on two things:

Bigs taken with lottery picks that aren’t elite at one particular thing and need the ball - Mobley

Tweener forwards that play one side of the ball, aren’t playmakers, and don’t have a high A/TO ratio (the stat for forwards that indicates elite playmaker) - Kuminga

I really don’t care how hyped people get for these prospects or how they look in college/g-league. Give me guards and wings that can actually make plays with the ball Suggs, Cade, Green.

If you think that about kuminga then you haven't watched film on him....dude is special....3 level scorer and plays both ends and he's cooking G-league players(grown men) while being younger than everyone in the top 5...If that's how you feel you know what? fair enough because i would be happy with everyone in the top 5 except mobley

Kuminga might prove me wrong, but seeing bad assist numbers for a SF compared to the elite have me skeptical.

Watching highlights of Green and Kuminga in the G-League, they’re both so much more dynamic than Cade. Loads of athleticism but with strong handles to control it, vs strong frame and composed handle who’s more methodical in probing.

Personally I think I take Green or Kuminga over Cade at this point. But man, spoilt for choice between those 3, Suggs, and Mobley. I think this will turn out to be one of those LeBron/Melo/Wade/Bosh deep drafts. Calling it now.

Honestly you can't make a wrong choice here i think the top 5 have all star talent....my thing with mobley is i want to see if what he's doing now will translate to the next level where his size and length isn't elite anymore.....Mobley going into the nba 7"0 about 215-220 and can't effectively stretch the floor? I don't know.....i see what he can do i just don't know if it will translate....

I think Cade is special as well, the poise he has the feel for the game? top shelf and it's rare to see a kid that doesn't get sped up he plays at his pace...

Green is a pure scorer, i like the film i've seen on him the only thing i will say is i just hope later on when the G-league showcase starts up we get to see some more play making out of him....i want to see him make reads and make the right play when he's supposed to and i want to see more on the defensive end....

I like Suggs too but for me personally i think he leans on his athleticism a bit too much if that makes any sense? I'm always kinda weary of players like that because it may at times become a crutch where you think you can dunk over everybody or blow by everybody....Still though i think he has all star potential

Im glad and its ok to be excited when watching highlights lol. But what i wanna say is be patient... we are gonna see them in the GL bubble soon.. so we will see how green and kuminga will fare against the pseudo-nba players. Will they domibate or not? Who knows after their bubble green could be the unanimous #1 pick and that unheralded pg NIX could jumo into the top5 consideration (lol)

Completely. There’s a lot more time and film to be seen before I’ll be drawing any strong conclusions.

Mobley has elite size and he's the best big in the draft since Anthony Davis. He's probably the closest player to a can't miss.

I’m not opposed to Mobley if that draft falls that way for us.

Of the top 5 prospects, Kuminga is the one I struggle to get excited about for us.

I just glanced at him but he kind of reminded me of Julius Randle.

Eh, I don’t like the Randle comparison. That doesn’t fit for me.

I have seen Paskal Siakam, Shawn Marion or even Kawhi Leonard as NBA comps for him. That type of mold seems to fit him better and makes more sense as to why he is in the same tier as the elite prospects of this draft.

I guess I need to see more of him. My reservation is that more often that not those types of players end up being “solid” and very rarely reach Kawhi level. Everyone wants to next Kawhi ...

Kuminga is good player but God what an awful fit for a team.
I mentioned him back in November as great prospect, but also said he is not best fit for team like Magic.

All those players you listed have 7'3" plus wingspans. Kuminga's is like 7' which is more comparable to Randle.

I don't get the Green-Kobe comparison either, because of size. Green's body is more comparable to Beal. Plus I haven't seen real good defense from him yet.

Just be raedy to be dissapointed with draft

This was our "development" of Gordon and Payton and tanking that lead to...Mario Hezonja.

I don't understand what makes owners comfortable with Weltman and Hammond making draft decisions. One drafted Giannis and missed on everybody else. But he is GM for 15 years now, he would draft somebody good regardless, even Billy King won one trade.

maybe....but to me his size isn't that special at the nba level...plus he can't effectively stretch the floor without putting in some major work on that shot, it's too slow i'm not sure he can get that off in the next level...i think he's shooting around 30% from college 3? even with that said i think everything else he brings to the table still gives him a high ceiling, i just don't know about "can't miss" in today's nba where you have to be able to stretch
