Yup.. they went through the stages pretty quick... the DENIAL and ANGER was done in 1-2 threads in less than 24 hours lol... so in less than 48 hours they finished it all and moved on to their " we didn't want him anyway " stage?

Sheeeeesh I kept asking if we did that when we took Okeke instead of NAW. lol

It is what it is, i can't fault them for it....In my opinion their GM overthought it and took a big swing....now they have to get on board....Masai in their words have earned their trust so they are going to trust him and get behind barnes....Doesn't make a lick of sense to me but i guess the idea is to chase the ghost of Giannis which to me is fools errand players like Giannis don't come around often or at all since i haven't seen anyone like him....i guess time will tell, we'll know in a few years

Well I dunno what their FO is thinking too. But yeah I think they went for the homerun pick as well... will it pay-off? Who knows. MAybe they were doing it because they are trading Siakam and the G they are envisioning is in the trades not the draft.

if that's the case then it makes more sense

I've watched it 3 times and maybe again in the future. The fans reaction to the Wagner pick at 8 IS NOT GOOD. There are a number of fans not happy with the Wagner pick, it's more than just me. The fans reacting to the Suggs pick vs the Wagner pick is totally different. I'm 100% sold on SUGGS, Wagner I don't know but the % is more than 0. It could be I don't remember watching Michigan basketball last year but I've seen Gonzaga, UCONN and Arkansas play a number of times last year.

Honestly, who cares how the FANS reacted to the Franz pick. It only matters how he performs to those same fans.

For me i can care less because we got Suggs and a player comparable to Barnes in Wagner except he's probably more ready to contribute right away than Barnes is now and he's younger

Hope Jalen reads their comments.... takes it personally and drops 35 pnts on toronto. :-D

With the hate Raps fans have on Suggs, they hunting him with Barnes. lol they want Barnes to locked him up asap.

If someone didn't like Barnes, then it stands to reason they wouldn't like Wagner much either.

His shooting is a little better, but they're pretty similar overall.

Can anyone confirm the Wagner strength development mentioned during the nbatv draft coverage? He seems like he got really strong too. I just cant find it anywhere else

This twit is incredible. It must be amazing to see so many people rooting for you.

Man,many fans there didn't even know who Wagner is and didn't watch him play.
The reaction about Franz for me is worthless. They just repeated the names that we were "supposed" to be interested in.

^ Yeah it must feel really good and motivating. Bookmarked that tweet to find it again later, lol. I lost my chit when the Raptors pick was announced, too. I've liked Suggs about as much as the other 3 top 4 guys all along. Words can't describe how happy I was to not feel like we were one pick away for once. On some days I like him more than Green, because he feels safer and that he's a leader on and off the floor who's gonna make everyone better, something we've been sorely lacking. Green will score more but I'm not sure it will lead to a lot of winning necessarily (see Zach LaVine).

On the other side of the coin I hope Franz doesn't get bummed out about the hushed reaction to his drafting, which I'm guessing he must've heard about. There's reasons Magic fans weren't as hyped about him as they should have been in the moment, which I will detail in the Franz thread later (along with why I was pretty hyped). It's understandable but a polite cheer would've been nice, especially when you're still riding the wave of the Suggs pick.

He was a #1 as a Zag.

When I saw 4, the first thing I thought was "what I should have been drafted".

Yeah, it makes all the sense...but you just can't come to a new team as a rookie and steak the jersey from one of the most important players on that team.

Don't know why but I never felt comfortable with Isaac wearing #1. No problem at all with him but on my mind the number 1 jersey (it has always been an important jersey for magic fans) should belong to an explosive and dynamic guard here. A leader.

Regarding Wagner, I hope this twit provides some calm to you. He seems to be happy in Orlando.

The Raptors cope is even funnier when you search what they were saying before the draft re Suggs vs. Barnes.
