A little confirmation of my fears with him. I am not convinced he wants to come to Orlando and you can’t pick him with these prospects being all very close.

Funny. The one dude who could be a superstar out of the top 3 and he doesn't want to be here.

Rough.

Guess we'll take a high quality role player at #1.

Strongly disagree with this statement. I dont think he is more likely than the other two to become a star. They all are equivalent in my eyes you just have to make an educated guess on which swing skill is most likely to happen.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

I would take him regardless. I am sure Wolves are feeling good about themselves not taking Curry becouse he didnt want to be there.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

SUPERstar. I'm sure Jabari and Chet could become all stars in their respective roles.

How many superstars are 3 and D guys? None.

Superstars are guys who initiate an offense and who can score at every level.

True - this one is a little different since it sounds like Paolo is basically saying he doesn't want to be here which is why he hasn't worked out for us. That's a little different than a guy just not working out for us. We've got the #1 pick and a top 3 guy doesn't want to work out for us.

I don't believe this story. Even if its true that quote is he doesn't think we are going to take him. So he feels like its a waste of time to do a workout. I don't think we are going to take him either btw. It doesn't mean he wouldn't want to be here. But regardless I don't believe any of this stuff reported.

I heard his media availability he told " I will be blessed to be picked by any of the top 3" when they asked him about Houston. When you factor that OKC has SGA and Giddey, Rockets have KPJ and Green we are propably best landing spot for him. No one has separated himself as true number one option.

Maybe I'm not being clear. Who are the superstars in the league? LeBron, Luka, Curry, KD, Jokic, Giannis, Kawhi, Embiid...

Aside from Embiid, all are players who initiate their offense a majority of the time they are on the court and are the guys with the ball in their hands making the decisions at the end of games.

Both Chet and Jabari would have to drastically improve their handle and vision to become an offensive initiator. Paolo already has that in his bag of tricks. Jabari and Chet can be the screener of a PnR while Paolo can be the screener or the playmaker.

Paolo is the archetype that could become a superstar - big wing with high BBIQ who can initiate the offense in crunch time. Jabari and Chet are the high quality role player archetype who could be all stars because they are good at a specific role - not making decisions that effect the whole game.

It’s funny that within the span of an hour the theme of this thread changed from “This FO leaks nothing, don’t believe the rumors, they won’t divulge any information” to “Paolo is bailing on workouts and doesn’t want to play in Orlando”  This forum and social media are going to be a madhouse over the next 2 days. Probably best to not believe any last minutes rumors coming out between now and the draft

He didn't say he "doesn't want to play for Orlando".

He said, "He doesn't think Orlando will select him". HUGE difference.

Still kind of a weird thing to say when a few weeks ago up to now he was saying "I'm the #1 pick in this draft".

I never really liked Paolo's attitude to be honest. If the FO is playing games and knew they were taking him they could absolutely play this off as if they weren't and still do it. I don't trust any information coming out the week of the draft.

You might want to revisit the careers of Jokic, Giannis, Kawhi, and Embiid before they reached the NBA.

I got a bad feeling that Houston is trading up for him. So we are gonna take him 1 then trade back to 3 and take whos left from Jabari and Chet. That would be a gut wrenching result for me. So if we take him 1 Im gonna hold my celebration till I know we are keeping him.

ORL was so impressed with his swaggy confidence - working out for them in sweats!

reminiscent of Bird winning the 3pt contest in his warmups and Jordan winning the dunk contest in his warmups with bling swinging around his neck.

Honestly, I don't know how to interpret WTF is going on with all the betting lines overnight...Got to be a leak (real or contrived) of a trade-down? My understanding of the lines is (especially at later points-closer to the event) that they are most influenced by bets placed, not news...maybe Weltman or Presti's wife was seen walking into a casino with a briefcase full of cash.
