A bad half but after games 1 and 2 it could be worse. The defensive intensity needs to pick up and the turnovers need to stop. Paolo got to get it together too obviously

Props to the Cavs. They played well. Mitchell has been the difference. The biggest shot of the half is that step back 3 he made after we had just tied the game. Overall he’s been good and so has their defense.

I mentioned bringing Dwight in prior to the season, he absolutely would've made us a better team vs what WCJ brings to the table.

In the end its the same thing that happens in most of these kinda series. Home teams wins game 3 with energy that the leading away team cant match + they make some changes. Game 4 the fav matches the intensity & re-adjust to the changes and wins. Series over

Cavs are not really an explosive offensive team, they have rediculous rim protection and their halfcourt offense is basically Mitchell and that's it.

- Our offense got rushed a little bit, because we were finally scoring okay again in G's 3 & 4 so far. A touch too many TO's, even for us at our ages.

- This is a really tough series for us. We can control the defense better than the offense. We can force them to score 80-90 easier than us scoring 100+.

- In that line of thought, you CAN"T let Allen be on pace for 32 points, Mobley on pace for 24 points. I tried to eat my crow and pull back on some lineup change ideas, but I really awfully think we should be using Goga here yet again (at WCJ minutes). Maybe there's an adjustment to be made where we must stop rotating as quickly from their twin towers, but it's more about standing your ground as 1 on 1 defenders instead of rotating so much that 3's are open for CLE. Paolo did this, he was alone in the paint defending a possession without help, and it works.

Being hot in one game doesnt win series. I am more and more certain we need to get someone like Young.

We always needed a shooter or two, we were just hot last game.

Realistically, we were never gonna win a series NOW agaonst these vet teams unless we are hot every game

The first two games the Cavs players talked, taunted, and antagonized and I’m not going to blame this game on the Magic antagonizing from game 3. This game, the Magic is having a hard time defending.

He's playing against 2 gigantic guys who are elite rebounder. This is more of a gang rebounding situation rather than on guy who can grab all the boards.

Plus, the perimeter defense when it comes to penetration has been lackluster. A rim protector can only do so much when he has to account for a Mitchell drive, whilst also having a Mobley or Allen rolling to the rim.

The rotations have to be better.

There were a couple of possessions where Suggs had a live dribble and guys were just standing and watching instead of cutting or running and that's when he got caught in the air turning the ball over.

Their starters are destroying ours. Bench keeping us in the game. Seems about right.

yeah theres been less movement at offense at times, looking stagnant

Cavs are really a horrible matchup despite us only being 1 or 2 role players away from being the better team. We have no big + athletic/long Center to match them. Isaac is too thin, Carter too short. Moe is too bad on defense anyway & Paolo is ass at rebounding & rim protecting too. Maybe we really need to try Goga.
