This nails it. The consistent reproduction of elite offensive impact regardless of stage is insane and increases his stock dramatically when we'd otherwise ignore this more recent data.Idiosyncratic wrote:JoshuaPotter wrote:eyriq wrote:McNeely listed as the #2 steal already? Love it.
Its interesting because out of all these players I would say Jase has put up the most consistency and is past due for a bomb.
This isn't to say long term anyone else will end up "the better player" but Jase is passing the eye test.
The thing that is promising about Jase is that he did in summer league exactly what he did in college and now he is doing the exact same thing in preseason. He's making his shots at an extremely high rate and not turning the ball over. So it gives me some belief that it is going to carry over into real games even though preseason/summer league often mean very very little.
Even if his limitations cap him out as a lower usage hyper efficient player it is a really nice fit with our stars. But you can also imagine him getting a little stronger or a little better handle or a little more range on his 3s to increase his volume and becoming a bit more.

Here is what is interesting about Jase. I see a world where he could cap out as the 3rd best offensive guy on a championship team. Other teams, have lived with height issues, and nobody in the article quoted brought up that his wingspan is that of a taller person.
The floor seems that he can be an NBA player. The ceiling seems to be somewhere between a low usage high efficiency guy or give him high volume and his efficiency could tread water. In terms of defense, he has the tool to be net 0.0 but if he can get up to net 0.1 then hey, that's positive.
