He has cards this summer. We have assets. This is the time, its now or never.
What assets?
Overpriced Wendell Carter?
Isaac that can only play 17mpg max?
2 late first round picks?
The cap space they spent on KCP?
Cole Anthony that has regressed since being paid?
Bust Jett Howard?
Orlando has Anthony Black, somewhat discount Goga, and KCP that they probably won’t move as actual assets.
The time for moves was last season.
Exactly, and even those three are low-value. Goga wasn't even in the rotation in Game 1 after falling off a cliff midway through this season. AB looked scared and managed 3 points and 0 assists in 14 minutes in Game 1, following a very mediocre sophomore season. Mos thinks so much of AB he still didn't move him into the starting lineup after Suggs went down for the season. KCP has proven it's easy to look good when Jokic is your teammate. It's comical to expect that any of these below-average players plus a late first-rounder would net anything of value.
The window opened and closed last summer, and to a lesser extent the summer before when Jeff burned 2 lottery picks on Jett & AB. The rest of the league doesn't care about Jeff's "timeline". The opportunities come when they come and if you pass them up because you're not ready yet then you're out of luck.

Oh, that's all? Sounds easy, those kinds of players just lying around everywhere.
I don't really care if it's easy or hard. Those are the kinds of players we need. Guards who fit that bill are Coby White, Anfernee Simons and Colin Sexton. It's the GM's job to find the players with the skillset to make this team better.

He hasn’t had a bad season but I wouldn’t call it good for the #6 pick. Mediocre.

We haven't taken advantage of assets but we definitely have them. Good players can be gotten for 2nd rounders or throwaway expirings. 1sts and young players definitely can get some names, although I'm not sure how viable it even is to get another big contract guy in terms of apron stuff.

Orlando catching some strays from Chuck at halftime of Bucks Pacers. He was talking about Bucks offense that "they just give it to Giannis and let him go 1 on 5, it's bad offense, if he would work off ball he'd be even greater"
He then went on to say "This is like what they're doing with Paolo in Orlando, but it's not the way you're going to win"
Preach Chuck

Heard it too. Everybody knows what the problems are except for Mosley and the FO.
The FO and Mosley leading this team to certain failure:

Notice what all the teams have that don't play like that.
Boston even was iso heavy without Jrue.

I put part of the blame on Mosley. It's like he's trying his hardest to develop Franz and Paolo into taller versions of Luka. That said, most of the blame obviously goes to the person responsible for building the roster.

I just don't think most coaching staffs as a whole (there's a reason there are assistant coaches) try to put these guys in places they don't want to be. It's why you see guys like Spo struggling this year too.. sometimes you just can't squeeze enough juice from a lemon.
It can always be "improved" - not arguing that.. just think a lot of that is copium in terms of what sort of offense can regularly come out of teams that aren't build for that. Ime Udoka is getting the EXACT same talking points and to me it's just like bro, that's kind of just the reality of our situations lol.
Just like my expectations grow with players individually in terms of experience + time in the league, etc, give us an actual just AVERAGE offensive ceiling with some guards and if we still struggle, move on, make wholesale changes, whatever. But for now it's just like.. okay we can eke some better attempts here and there but we shouldn't be depending on getting guys like Caleb Houstan or Gary Harris offense going to save our season. We can have Paolo dribble the ball less but that means massive usage for Cory Joseph of all people lol or AB who had a horrible turnover just like Paolo did taking the ball up.

Proud of our team this year
I m 100 % confident that the outcome of this serie/season would have been different with suggs+Moe.
And if you we swap Cole for a guy like sexton, I m pretty sure that we ll be a very scary team next season

I agree. I think Black and Sexton backcourt will be very potent for us.
Cole is just too useless in the playoffs. He is getting hunted. While Sexton isn’t necessarily a positional size advantage kind of guy, he plays with the tenacity or more similar to Pritchard which allows him to play up a position on defense despite the size.
Sexton and Suggs would be damn good backcourt tbh. That motor running the show will open a lot of opportunity because their energy is infectious.

Reaves got off 7 shots in 4th quarter, most on a team.
They run isos but Luka & Lebron pass often off them. Matter of fact Lebron only took two shots in 4th.
