Re: "Magic Come Knocking for CP3"
We could do a seperate deal, like Jameer for the #10 pick. Because I'm sure NOLA doesn't really want him as a back-up.

NO sends Posey to MAGIC (MAGIC help Miami and NO in exchange for the second trade)
NO sends MAGIC Paul Okafor West
MAGIC send VC (semi-expiring) Nelson (young PG all-star) Peaches (young talent) and Bass (young talent) and our #29
CP3/Arenas
Arenas/JJ/MLE
Lewis/Anderson/Posey
West/Okafor/Posey
Howard/Posey

Oh yea did I forget the part where Arenas gets waived and we sign him for vet min ...

Re: "Magic Come Knocking for CP3"
I like Paul but personally I'd rather get Collison.
He's younger and in the little bit of time I've seen him w/ New Orleans he's definitely official.
He's even put up better numbers than rookie season CP3 (although w/ a different cast).
And like someone mentioned and I've mentioned before on the T&T board, CP3 is starting to get nagging injuries each and every year and now I'm starting to wonder about this.
Anyway if the opportunity does come and we could actually get Chris Paul, you HAVE TO pull the trigger on that deal.
Oh yeah, and I'd love to keep VC somehow if we did land Paul. Call me crazy.

Not by a longshot.
Still, I wouldn't trade for Jameer if I have Collison on my team.

Dwight and CP are not the two best players on their own--LeBron and Kobe are still better--but together they are like Stockton and Malone on steroids. IMHO it's the best duo that could possibly play together in this league. Insanely athletic big man who can run and defend, very athletic point who runs and sees the floor better than anybody and can also score and make the big shot.
unfortunately, Stockton and Malone never won a title.

Mathematically impossible. He has to play in 100% of games played.

I think that's an important fact considering:
Paul was drafted w/ the intent to be the franchise PG for NO and they expected big things from him.
Collison was drafted w/ the intent to be a good backup PG w/ whatever production they got outta him as a plus since they have a franchise PG in Paul
This seriously reminds me of the New England Patriots when QB Drew Bledsoe got injured and rookie QB Tom Brady took over.
Collison is gonna be really really good and no, I wouldn't trade for Jameer either if I have him. Jameer would get flipped to another team for a good SG likely.

If I remember right, don't Paul and Rondo hate each other?

Re: "Magic Come Knocking for CP3"
I think CP3 is lobbying for this deal to go down..
Think about it, he see's LeBron, Bosh, Wade, etc dictating the market and practically where they'll end up. If team x is to bring in 2 max fa's, it's sure as heck going to be tough competition for the next few years, let alone decade.
CP3 won't have the luxury and has to wait 2 more years before he can opt out, this may be his only chance at competeting for a title, let alone a dynasty if teamed with Dwight and vice versa, as the same goes with Dwight.
Otis, throw everything at Bower including the kitchen sink, just not the house (Dwight)

I really don't know what to say to this. Paul is a top five player int the NBA. Orlando would trade their roster (-Howard) for Paul. Collison is "a nice PG." But Nelson is also one of those.

I really wish something could just happen...one way or the other.
I hate waiting on rumors to pan out.
