It looks like AK47 wants a 3 year contract worth 21-22 Mil which would probably be like a 9-7-6. Assuming McCollum lands at 9# I think the only way a Orlando/Minnesota deal can go down is the following:

Orlando 2nd pick overall + Nelson (8.6Mil)

For

Minnesota 9th pick overall + Williams (5.0Mil) + Ridnour (4.3Mil-1 year)

or

Minnesota 9th pick overall + Williams (5.0Mil) + Gelabale (916,000 guaranteed after July 17) + Steimsma (2,690,875 guaranteed after July 17)

I get that you want to stick in Williams as some sort of substitute for value, but since being drafted all Williams has done is destroyed his stock. He totally stunk as a rookie. Going into his sophomore season, he lost a lot of weight in order prepare himself to play SF, but that didn't work either. He doesn't have the mindset to want to play PF. He's just a tweener without a position. I don't see how he helps the Magic in any way shape or form.

There's no trade that makes sense for the Magic to make a trade with Minnesota unless Minnesota moves into the Top 5 first.

A package around Afflao for #9 is where you need to refocus your thoughts.

I have also come to the conclusion that Minnesota does not have the pieces to deal with Orlando. There won't be any deals for Afflao being the main piece for the 9# pick however. Orlando is in the catbird seat and is going to get some good value back trading the 2nd pick, if that is what they decide to do.

I m not sure, Rubio+afflalo would be very good for min

9+ridnour for AA make so much sense for both team

Flip and K Love would love that move, would be a big sign that min is moving in right direction

Rubio,AA,AK,love,Pek

Lucas Nogueira less risky than Noel???

I personally would rather to use a late 1st on Lucas than using our #2 on Noel

Cle not picking Noel might be a blessing cause #3 #4 #5 need a big and would likely trade up to get him

So we could trade down few spot and collect assets

If 3, 4, or 5 want Noel they would trade up with CLE. CLE isn't locked into keeping that pick by any means.

If Cle trade the pick to someone who draft Noel then you can shop the pick or get mclemore

I think we have to take McLemore or if not trade down for C.J.

To me it's about talent, those are the guys we should go after in my opinion. If Cleveland take McLemore I make the trade

Without factoring in huge first round deals.

if cleveland takes noel with the first pick (kinda what i'm hoping for so we aren't tempted to pick the possible bust due to injury because i would love the guy if he was healthy) I would love for us to pick up Mclemore with the 2nd pick. And IF he is available which might not be so as we get closer to draft time....I would pick up Myck Kabongo as I've said before. I truly feel that he will show first round talent even if selected in the middle of the 2nd round. He could be one of those late bloomers when it comes to looking at his college stats and what he might be able to do if given the opportunity in the NBA.

and if noel falls i would try and make a trade down to phoenix.... maybe the 5th and 30th pick (throw in a little kendall marshall maybe) and we can hope to get Oladipo with the 5th pick and a scoring point Guard such as Erick Green (ideally i would love CJ), who would also be a contrast to Marshall as well.

on another note....Turk to Brooklyn for the #22 and Kris Humphries can net us Tony Mitchell. Seems like he had a bit of a sour attitude in his second season in college....leading to a massive drop in production after a very impressive year. we can roll the dice and try to pull out every ounce of potential from him. His mix of length and athleticism would look great next to Nik for years to come.

Jameer/Myck or Erick
Afflalo/Mclemore or oladipo/Moore/Lamb
Harris/ Harkless/Jones
Davis/Nicholsen/Mitchell
Vucevic/Oquinn

In my opinion that would be a great foundation for the future. Might actually start winning in the first season.....not good for the 2014 draft....but it will definitely be a fun team to watch.....even the "2nd string"

what do you'll think?....just throwing out ideas. :-)

Why would anybody trade a draft pick and a player with some value (not a ton but still) for the corpse of Hedo?

"Money Talks"

Salary Cap issues do arise when you have have $76 million invested in only 5 players! one including some guy named Kris Humphries that will be paid 12 mill to play under 18 min per game. at least Turk is not fully guaranteed and can be cut for his final season. saving them 6 mill in contract....and 6+ million in luxury tax. or we can trade them the TPE. It all depends on how many teams will be willing to take on a 12 million dollar contract for the year.

So....is it plausible.....why not. Unless the Owner has no problem shelling out extra money ....then yes...my argument is no longer valid.

If Noel falls, it means McLemore was taken 1st and Phoenix needs a SG, so Oladipo wont be available at 5.

NBA Legion ‏@MySportsLegion
The Cavaliers are highly considering drafting Maryland center Alex Len with the #1 overall pick.

Sam Amico mentioned the Cavs were interested in Len earlier, but more in a trade-down scenario. Len with the #1 pick is not likely I think

If he's available I agree. I don't love Mac but it wouldn't upset me. I do want Orlando to grab another lotto pick and take a pg though (my guy is still Burke) but I'd be ok with MCW and possibly Scroeder at 10-13ish range if Burke is gone

I wouldn't be ok with just Mclemore, that would be a fail draft to me. We got to get additional picks
