Why can't Channing Frye make $20M this year and then $4M for every year after???
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

yeah I don't see us signing osby either... he's doing exactly the same thing he did last summer and we didn't take him then so why would we now?

"Well, it might be more fun than last season. That's a low bar.
I mean, Afflalo shooting and Nelson creating open shots were two of the few things I enjoyed seeing last year. (Along with Harris driving the lane some months and most of what O’Quinn did.) Not sure what exactly I’m going to be enjoying this year, especially if Frye and Gordon are taking time away from O’Quinn."

Do Magic fans like this actually exist? I want to rip my eyes out.

I think we make one final move before the season starts. We have a log jam in the front court. I have a feeling Nicholson is going to be a baller on the next team he plays for.

PG: Oladipo/Payton/Curry
SG: Fournier/Gordon/Green
SF: Harris/Harkless/Marble
PF: Gordon/Frye/Nicholson
C: Vucevic/O'Quinn/Dedmon

Great mixture of offense/defense/playmaking with both units. Good depth.

If the market was that high for him, you just pass.

Yes, it's not like he's the piece that puts us into contending.

From Joshua Robbins article in the Orlando Sentinel.

Hopefully it's front loaded or partially guaranteed the final year.

Its probably partially guaranteed in the final year. Its what Henny tends to do.

I cant believe people actually think oquinn is better than, frye.... hes a back up.

Marcin Gortat made 10 million a year so frye at 8 million makes sense.

Marcin will be making $12 million now. I am happy for him, one of the best characters in the league for sure.

The guy loves Orlando, talks well about us, and still lives here. I got a lot of respect for that.

different players. O'Quinn brings defense, shot blocking, bit of a toughness that Fyre doesnt.

he also brings shot blocking and a bit of toughness that vuc doesnt bring.

Id rather have a player thays going to stretch the floor and opening things up for vuc, harris, and Dipo. Im not saying OQuinn is uesless or a bad player I just feel like Frye is the better player and the better fit.

People were crying for a shooter we get a shooter and everyone complains that hennigan didnt sign a 20 year old knock down shooter for 500k a year. Newsflash.... you have to pay these guys.

This isnt directed at you but Magic fans are never satisfied.

I agree. This deal is not gonna hamper our cap space and we still under the salary floor lol. People are getting paid, Bosh got offered 4 years $90 something million for goodness sakes.

I dont mind the Frye signing as he will fit well with the open looks that Tobes/Dipo/Payton will create for him getting into the paint, I just dont like the length of the deal or at least a team option after 3. With Channing Frye as your highest paid player in the NBA you are not competing for a title anythime soon. :(

I can already see that frye is being labeled a bad defender. He's a good enough team defender to where he isn't a liability. Oquinn in some peoples eyes is a good defender because he blocks a few shots? In reality, frye is probably a better defender than ko
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Not changing this sig until Magic win a championship. Started 6/26/2015.

Frye is our highest paid player because everybody else is still on their rookie deals. Oladipo, Harris and Vuc are all gonna be paid more than 8 million a year when they get their second contracts.

We aren't going to contend until the youngsters reach the next level anyway. Frye is a good complement for them.

32 year old Boris Diaw gets over 7 mil and no one bats an eye.

31 year old Channing Frye gets 8 mil and everyone goes **** insane?

Not to mention we are still way below the cap even with this deal.
