We know what's going to happen. Magic played for pride and got a nice win... now their guard is back down and they'll get punched in the face again and lose a few more as a result.

This. If anything while losing for a good pick is good I think it's even better for no panic trades especially with everyone's trade value down. Hoping the front office takes a Keynesian economical approach to the roster when it comes to trades until the offseason.

I didn't get to watch this one, so how did we end up winning by 1? Buzzer beater?

It's not even about win. It's how they won. By overplaying old trash , benching youth . Will jeff Green make you better next year ? No, so why da hell you play him ? Why da hell Hezonja can't even get 5 min? What are they doing with 8 men rotation in January? Trying to win as much games as they can? This is copy past same BS from last year that got team where they are now- NOWHERE.

ibaka missed threes, gave up a three, fouled a guy for a 3pt play then jeff green let them shoot an open 3... almost a meltdown, but ran out of time.

Dream, I'm surprised to see you cool about a game like this. Where Jeff green gets more minutes than AG && Mario gets a DNP proving that Vogel is still going hard after the eighth seed. It's not even just about the win, it's about how it happened. A win on the backs of Vets that may not be on the team past the deadline. I just can't pull a positive from this game.

Ultimately, this win hurts the Magic more than it hurts the Raptors. Although, I could see Toronto getting really desperate for Ibaka. They clearly need some upgrades.

Also, the Raptors are a game and a half from falling to fifth place in the East. For a team that thinks of themselves as Cleveland's biggest competition and the second best in the East, maybe they get desperate and are more willing to part with some assets to get Ibaka. Probably not, but you never know I guess

Dunno man, a lot of these people wanted this team to win for quite a while. When the team shows nothing night after night and the coach has no vision for the future and we keep signing veterans to barely move the needle when we need them and **** up draft position when we're no longer competitive, taking a holier than thou attitude when cheering for the team doesn't mean much. We all want the same thing which is to be better. If we win 5 in a row, that's something. If we win one big game and then lose again when we need wins then it's the same cycle over and over again.

Again, people can celebrate and enjoy the win. Just saying nothing about this game changed anything about the team's outlook or future. It's not like we won on the backs of anybody that will be a huge piece of this team in the future (other than Vucevic, unless he's moved).

Exactly. So go and enjoy the win.

So, do you enjoy the losses when we are competing for a good playoff spot?

I thought everyone was aboard the tank. Yet when we win there are actually people happy about it. I just don't get it. Why would anyone want to win games with Jeff Green and DJ playing minutes. I'm just don't get why we do it and I don't get why any Magic fan would be happy about it. We need losses and development. Neither happened today. Today's game is a failure on all ends.

I just really wanted to beat this team lol. Also you have to admit that Green was not awful today and DJ was hot. AG was in foul trouble and was frustrated all game. He looked like he had no rhythm out there. Just wasn't his game.

The Mario thing does get me heated. CJ again with deep minutes and Mario is now DNP? someone has to explain whats up. I personally think we're getting ready to trade him. Mario seems to have lost the trust of this staff for whatever reason.

Relax it's just one game and we all know that the vets won't play this perfectly again. Don't look into this game too much. The tank continues tomorrow in Minny. They have been playing much better and Lavine is going to drop 50 on Watson.

&& then everyone will complain when we are 1-2 picks from a franchise player becuase we won games like this when the season is already lost.

This. There was literally no upside to winning today. This did absolutely nothing but hurt us.

How do you not get it was a lucky win ?!?!?! most nights dj is not going to score 21. most nights green usually doesn't make more than 1 or 2 fieldgoals. ........ the team is going to get lucky wins , unrealistic to expect this team to lose every game for the rest of the season.
