Not a big problem, right?

What about Ross?
Ross has minor hamstring injury. The only one to worry about is Okeke.

I have high expectations for him. I’m thinking he can be a utility for this team and do a bit of everything. Has that Shane Battier kind of game.

I went back and watched the highlights and it looks like a sprained knee for Okeke. Sorry i know i was pushing the Achilles possibility.

I said it at the beginning of the thread, this game just had blowout written all over it. Still the same core of players. We aren’t that good. Washington is playing awful, Okc will pick in the top 5, && Miami is trying to figure things out.

We will more than likely be in the play in conversation but don’t expect much more.

Glass half full thought.

The Magic made 19 FTs, which is more than the league average per game. To do so on only 21 attempts is incredible.

Orlando is now 4th in the league in made FTs per game.
Orlando is now 2nd in the league in FT%.

Something is a bit off with this bamba situation man. Doctors fully cleared him for full contact, bamba out of his own mouth says he's ready to go. Finally in a situation where there's no reason why he shouldn't play but all of a sudden there IS a reason.

Mind you bamba isn't a rookie he knows what we run because we run the same stuff we ran when he first got here... Same offense same defense so nothing new to learn.... But he bumped his head and that's why he can't play? But at the same time say that the bump on the head wasn't severe enough to be a concussion?

Is that supposed to make sense? it's a hard enough hit to not play but not hard enough to warrant a concussion.... Either bamba head is a pinata or somebody got some explaining to do

Clifford needs to randomly start resting players. Look how the schedule is affecting other teams like Dallas, one night they blowout the Clippers, another night they get blown out.

Many teams are already resting players. They should've had the foresight to rest Chuma on B2Bs. All other players coming off injuries are getting nights off.

Embiid recently rested on a B2B and they didn't play anyone else over 28 minutes.

Chuma is a worry for me regardless of injury. After spending two seasons in college and sitting out an entire year post draft I was hoping he'd be a whole lot farther along both offensively and defensively than he actually is.

He can obviously still improve && I'm willing to let him acclimate to the NBA a bit, but I haven't seen anything that gets me excited.

Unjustified hype met harsh reality with him.
Guy was projected to be second round pick, Magic pulled him out at 16 for no good reason. They could have drafted down 10 slots and still drafted him. There was just 1 mock that has any merit, where he was first round pick.

His game, his build, simply doesn't make him anything more than some 7-9th rotation guy who will get 15-24 mpg somwhere.
6'7, no ballhandling, no passing, existing ugly injury, player, who in 2 years at college was 10 points a game, effective but low usage outside shooter ( 89 threes in 72 games ) who was defensive scecialist. But defensive specialist at college and defensive specialist in nba are two different worlds. Also wing- specialists who don't offer anything on other side, flat out have no value. Guys like Ronda Hollis Jefferson, Kid Gilchrist, Stanley Johnson, Andre Roberson can't find any suitors for serious roles because they just float on offense and offer nothing.

Okeke maybe can hit open shots, but man, how to explain that in 18 mpg guy shoots less than 3 shots a game?

He can handle the ball, one of the better passers on the team already, no shooting is out of design. He needs to start being more selfish on the offensive end

His handles get him nowhere, especially because he is too afraid to even shoot.
Guy is yet to make single shot or layup inside 10 feet.

Okeke plays like it's a sin to cross inside 3 point line, it's ridicilous to watch.

I don't like to talk about players after 5 games, but he looks like one of 300 replacment level players in nba, type of guys you find and sign for $2M from G league or Europe. it will take miracle for him to keep his place in rotation after Aminu is back.

There is something going on.

- Cleared for full contact play on the 16th.
- Hasn’t been on the court since.
- Clifford says he wasn’t on the court because of some practice injury despite him not playing a single game prior.
- Birch hasn’t been good enough for a case to be made.

I get some of these teams easing players into minutes for rest due to the fact that there was no real offseason/ training camp, but Bamba hasn’t logged minutes now a while for that to be a real excuse.

I don’t really care if people think Bamba is good enough as a player. If he isn’t able to get in games, he needs to be traded or Clifford needs to increase his value on the court. He still has more value than Birch as a lottery pick on a rookie scale deal.

It doesn’t make sense to compound a stupid pick by further decreasing his value if you know he’ll never get on the court to prove himself.

I have high expectations for him. I’m thinking he can be a utility for this team and do a bit of everything. Has that Shane Battier kind of game.

For a guy taken 15th overall, in front of some guys who better fit our needs, not to mention the fact that we had to wait a freaking year to get him and knew that going in, he needs to have a much higher ceiling than Shane Battier.
