too much shooting, not enough defense?

I was wanting him to get them in a little earlier, too, but to be fair, the way they played when they did get in somewhat vindicated Stan waiting so long. Disorganised offense, lots of players out for their own and taking bad shots, and matador defense. After Q made that 3 with about two minutes left, we got outscored 10-0 in the last 90 secs or so.
They hardly proved themselves worthy of PT.

Earl Clark was the biggest offender for all that, IMO. i was quite disappointed, but i understood he's got something to prove.

The thing is, I can understand the desire, almost desperation, to go out their and showcase yourself when you're in a situation where you're out of the rotation and you've only got garbage time to prove what you can do. But do these guys realise who they are dealing with? SVG isn't going to be impressed if you pound the ball for half the shot clock before shooting, whether you make them or not. However, you could finish with a 0-0-0-0-0 in 5 minutes statline, but if you went out there and defended your man, made your rotations, and looked to move the ball for good shots on offense, SVG would fall head over heals for you.

You would think they should know what to do to impress SVG, but those 4 minutes pretty much showed they have no clue. Its a shame because if Earl Clark knew team defense, he'd be a great defensive weapon to have out there behind Turk.
