I'll take Beasley at this point f it.
Beasley would become our second best player. Seriously.
Oh yeah definitely... no one would disagree... We all saw what he did in college and his first 3 season in Miami and Minny... he's an extremely talented kid... it's just he has maturity issues and his b-ball IQ is inconsistent... one game he "gets it" and he's playing smart and putting up great numbers... the next game he falters on defensive rotations, volume shoots/stat pads, and makes boneheaded attempts (on and off the court).
But I will say this about Beasley.. he can post up, face-up, spread the floor, and create a shot for himself... maybe not create for OTHERS, he isn't that player (yet)... but he can definitely get off a shot for himself and get to the basket.
I believe under a good head coach he can be a very good player... under Coach Spro in his rookie season he put up 15/6/1.3/1/.6 in 30mpg on 45fg% shooting (6/13). A couple seasons ago as the default first option A & B (next to Love) he put up 19/6/2.2/.7/.7 in 32mpg on 45fg% shooting (8/17).
So he's consistent in that regard; he can SCORE. This season his attempts and minutes are way down (9-10 a game and 44fg% shooting; and 24mpg).
I think if he was traded here to Orlando (and we somehow keep Ryan), Beasley can definitely be a combo forward (play both SF and PF) and put up good numbers. As long as Beasley can SCORE off the dribble and create for himself when our offense is stagnant (our spot up shooters are covered, and Dwight can't score on the block during late game pressures), I think he could be a good pick-up.
Unfortunately, I worry that we might give up Ryan for him

. Which I'm not too sure I would do that. I would try to pawn off J-Rich, BBD, Duhon, etc; anyone but Ryan in order to get Beasley. Plus Beasley on our team will help transition the move of Hedo to the bench (thank God).
