Listening to Lowe Post podcast, with Givony, couple interesting things:

1. Clifford was pounding the table for Hornets to take Mitchell last draft and he was overruled. They took Monk. Glad to have him here, lol.

2. Bagley wants to go to Sacramento. Not because of the team but for the mental notion that if he doesn't go #1, at least he went #2.

3. Givony says Mem taking Doncic at 4 is not a done deal. Could maybe he him falling to 5.

4. Some teams could see Young as the 3rd PG off the board and potentially available in the teens. Givony says he sees Hawks making a run for him if he's still there. He won't go there #3. Also says some talks of Hawks trading with Clippers for 1 of their picks.

5. Hawks are trying to be bad and won't sacrifice future just to move bad money. Unlikey they move #3.

6. Magic talk, around 30:00: teams around the league are split on forecasting what Magic do. Some think they HAVE to go guard (Sexton, Trae, or SGA) and other think they go BPA (Porter or Carter). With how quiet the coaching search went, teams are really in the dark with our plans.

7. They say with Carter, Vuc entering final year, and Lowe says "Vuc won't be on the roster." Biz isn't part of the future and Isaac and Gordon can't play center, so Orl will need a center for the future.

8. Young had poor workout with Knicks and they'd likely pass on him. They'd go Knox or Sexton over Young.

9. Next year's draft is weak on big men. ***(If Vuc and Biz aren't part of the future, and next year is weak on bigs, I see why big may be the focus at 6. And as Weltman always says, they're planning for 2 years down the road.)***

10. No one believes Vlade will take Luka. He's made it known for months that he's not high on Luka.

11. Den isn't trading a lotto pick just to dump an expiring deal.

I think the draft ends up like this -

1. PHX- Ayton
2. SAC- Bagley
3. DAL- (trade with ATL) Doncic
4. Memphis- Porter
5. ATL- (trade with DAL) Young
6. ORL- Bamba

I don’t know what that trade looks like, but I think it realistically happens after all the info I’m hearing.

They just did the Magic's pick and Woj said Sexton is the pick right now. He said it's razor-thin between him and Trae with who the Magic's Front Office likes the most at the moment and it very could end up being Trae. He also said the Magic haven't ruled out taking a big yet either, but he personally feels they need to take a Point Guard.

- I would be shocked if they took Sexton at 6.

- Duh we need a PG but not at the expense of a better player. C'mon ESPN

- I call bull on the Doncic chatter - Smoke

I'm sorry if we take Sexton I'm done the guy can't shoot he is a Payton clone I would be so shocked. WeHam has said in the past the PG needs to be able to shoot. So this would be sooooo shocking. Esp when they are saying they will take BPA. This is not BPA

Yeah, I would be pretty upset with Sexton at #6. I think he's much better than Payton and has the motor and desire to work hard that Payton doesn't have, but he's not the 6th best player in the draft. If the Front Office is sold of Sexton, then you trade down for him.

Woj is good at breaking news stuff but how about his draft predictions? Sexton isn't even in the top-10 talks yet we take him at 6?

Think I prefer SGA over Sexton. If we're set on taking a PG, I'm trading down to 12 & 13.

he can shoot. he already shoots better after 1 year than Elf did after 3 years in college and 3 in the NBA. that said, i still wouldnt take him at 6

Sounds like Doncic wants to play PG.

Kings has Fox
Atlanta has Shroeder
Memphis has Conley
Dallas has Dennis JR

Logically, I think the Kings are hesitant to take Doncic maybe his camp is resisting it.

To be able to grow as a player in the NBA, you really need to have the right opportunity and the right fit.

Doncic would be a PERFECT fit with the Magic running the point.

I have him over MPJr and Trae.
I love MPJr don't get me wrong, he is like the closest thing to durant.

But you won't go wrong with Doncic.

Trae is nice, but he will be a liability on defense, Trae can gain all the muscles he wants, but playing defense is not like playing offense where you can work on your craft as time goes on, you either can D or can't... not a really whole lot you can improve on defense... just look at James Harden, he is a prime example, and Carmelo Anthony too..... those 2 players excel on offense, even have the size to be great defenders but they suck at D

Either way I will be happy with Doncic or MPJr
If both don't happen, I am okay with Trae too

I wouldn't be surprised if we end up picking Bamba, that's what our GM does lol..... but it will start concerning me our gm is stubborn and only pick a certain kind... that's not how you win sht...

I will be upset if we pick JJJ or Wendal or anybody else....
probably throw up if JJJ, guy is a Marrqueis Chriss version 2.
Wendal is just like a Young David West that's longer and plays defense

This team needs a play maker, and teams don't win with centers no more, just look at the recent history, we got shaqtin the fool king winning a champinionship 2 years in a row...

My mom always taught me to believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. I think that is especially the case here. Nobody knows who the Magic are going to pick, not even the GM.

If we draft Sexton at 6 I'm 100% going to have to sit down and seriously start to question my fandom. I already have close to zero percent faith in this current FO. Drafting Sexton would seal the deal for me.
