Suns just changed strategy.
instad of throwing kids on the floor and acting all suprised when they have no clue how to contribute, they signed/traded for 3 high character guys that work hard.

Instad of acting like Bridges and Cam have to play because they were lottery picks ,they play players that deserve to play.

They also changed Booker's usage, instad of having him pound ball for 23 sec, they run him around screens. Results? Well guy shoots 47% for 3. Yes, for three.

CJ playing like Ass most of the season so far, there Center's are injured, except of Whiteside and he is just a stat stuffer with negative impact.
They played surprisingly good defense last 2 years with Nurkic, Aminu & Collins but without them.... :noway:
Too bad, because Dame is playing awesome. :o

Sometimes I watch some of these games around the league and just marvel that even the end of the bench scrubs of some of these teams come into the game and have more ball handling and smoothness than any of our players. We're really going to have to start drafting or signing guys with basketball skills at some point.

Who's next on the 'unknowingly' taking PEDs hit list?

Give me $20 on Whiteside...

Their moves this summer are looking genius for a team that had been crapped on for the longest time as a tank team and shining example of why not to tank.

Rubio + Baynes for $21M, Saric for a 5 position trade down in the draft. Oubre looks to be living up to his contract, too.

And that's without Ayton.

Still early days, but I'm glad they're getting a taste of success and look to be trending upwards.

Big difference is they are finally playing defense...tied for 6th ranked defense in NBA with 76ers. The main reason for that is Aaron Baynes at C instead of Ayton and his low bbIQ matador defense.

Who else is going to take the scoring slack for ATL aside from Trae?

Except that Bridges and Cam Johnson are playing. Bridges was supplanted in the starting lineup by the addition of Oubre, but Oubre is only a year older. Phoenix is still a very young team and Bridges is giving them really good minutes.

They played out last season with a rotation of G-league point guards and they have had G-league coaches for the last 3-and-a-half years. Rubio and Carter were massive upgrades over what they had last year. Baynes is playing out of his mind right now. The guy is so stiff and awkward. There is no way that 3-point shot keeps falling for him the way it has thus far.

Credit to James Jones for figuring out that Booker and Ayton is all the offense they need. He was hammered for dumping Jackson and Warren as well as for drafting Cam Johnson. Jackson was probably a sunk cost, but I think they could've gotten something for Warren. Everything else he did was pretty obviously about bolstering the defense and it has worked so far.

Cam Johnson out of 7 potential games has 2 DNPs and two games with below 9 min played. He is yet to play 18 min in single game.
Mikal is averaging 10 mpg less than last year.

Warren plays no defense and is as one-dimensional- tunnel vision scorer as it gets.

Agree about coaching job, Earl Watson IMO is one of the worst to ever coach in nba.

If there is some 100% legit testing 95% of the league would fail

Too bad we missed out on Devonte Graham. Remember we had the draft day promise for him and he went one pick before us.

All the sudden he's probably favored to make the allstar team. Kyrie basically hated on him all of last season.

Porzingas is going to be my guess for the next player busted for anti-drug. He looked like he gained an unusual amount of muscle mass since last year.

According to the NBA drug policy the 25 games for Collins should've been for his second positive test.
