The rumor is Phoenix, Clippers, or Denver.

Why are people high on Gary Harris? He played more minutes than Evan did last year and had lower production. Shot worse from 3 too.

Gary Harris plays defense and knows his role.

I'd be happy with it just for the simple fact that it would be something different for 1. But also the fact that it would mean the ball would be almost exclusively in Fultz and Vuc's hands. I'd much rather have that than the 4th quarter "heroics" from Fournier.

Fournier is a clutch shooter and scorer in the 4th, but not when he's the one creating for himself and others. More like when he's spoon fed the shot from somebody else.

That's a good point.

Can we dump Fournier for Hayward? I'd really like the squad if we could sub Hayward for Evan. Gordon averaged 17 last year on a crowded back court. Only 30. I think he has a couple years of averaging 20 left if he stay s healthy. I like Evan but that's what I always thought was holding us back, he just isn't consistent enough....if we could have a guard consistently average 20 we could flirt with top 4 in the East. I think it would be good for Evan's career to be more of a role player too.

I doubt there is an avenue without giving up Vuc too or just an avenue in general. Thought I'd throw it out thou..he opted out. I imagine he is going go to Indy.
The hero Orlando deserves is out there somewhere, Dwight was not the one we needed. So we will hunt for him...

Because it's obvious that Murray and Jokić are that much better?
It's not objective to expect player to take backseast for player(s) that are worst than him.

Also i don't know where notion he is good defender comes from. There is no much ground in reality about it.
As for "his" role, he was solid shooter that last 2 years forgot how to shoot.

Why da hell would you want player that scores 12 points on 11 shots, makes $18M a year, doesn't move the ball, can't rebound, isn't much of a defender and is grand total of 2 years younger than Evan? It's such a huge downgrade. This is execlly type of move Nuggets and contenders are looking for. Looting stupid teams.

No.
Hayward is unrestricted free agent, and depending how much he loves his dollars will determine where he ends up. He no longer can be signed and traded.
Toronto and Miami are teams that make sense, have salary.
But he will have to take paycut as both teams want flexibilty for 2021.

Yeah, Hayward is gone for us now.

Trade options for a 2 who's better than Evan are fairly slim. A 3 who's better than AG/Okeke?

INSIDER INFO (legit)

Take that for what it s worth

Nicolas Batum is working on a buy out and his preferred destination would be Orlando as he wants to play for Cliff Again (for whom he enjoyed his best playing years)

He thinks he could play a similar role to the one Iguodala was having with the Goldenstate warriors

TBH, I wouldn't mind him as our Back up SF, teaching the rope to Chuma and our other Young guys

Batum has a VERY HIGH BB IQ, he knows the basketball inside out

Last time we saw Batum play, he was not nba player ( not even basketball player in general) any more.
Guy averaged 3,6 ppg on 34% FG and lasted for 22 games.

Yes, he was asked to take a back seat by borrego

He wants to play meaningful minutes again and teach young players, A guy with an IQ that high on your bench cant hurt, if he is bought out, it ll cost us nothing

And it seems that Cliff would be very happy to have him back, they are still close

So, we ll see, you heard it first here :-)

Can he still play SF? I kinda doubt it. When not he would be the 5th or 6th PF?

Batum is 31 going on 50. If he is one of the reasons why we don’t have roster space for a 2nd-round pick, it’ll be just one more thing added to the stack of **** I feel obligated to bitch about.

Wonder if Charlotte keeps Graham and Rozier? Ball will probably start from day 1.

By the way, i think Cole could have a Graham type impact. He's 25 and shot 38% last year and 37% from 3.

Fournier for Rozier works.

Ah yes... undersized PFs.. Clark,okeke,aminu.. we seem to be collecting those.

Seriously, since when did Batum play PF? Isnt he like a slim 6'7 wing?

I’d be happy to sit Batum on our bench for vet minimum. By all accounts, smart, high bbiq, great teammate...call him player-coach at worst. If he’s healthy, he could provide some minutes of unselfish ball movement and heady play for our young boys to learn from. We are lacking that versatile SF skillset that Okeke projects to be, if the stars align.

Thanks Cedric. Batum would be a way bigger get than ppl imagine. It was hella clear he was not being asked to play any minutes or on-court role in CHA anymore. If he really has gas in the tank left, he can be a 14 ppg, 5 apg, 5 rpg, 1 spg, 1 bpg kinda guy on many nights. That’s how big of an impact he’s capable of.

Even if he doesn't play, he d be huge for our young guys. People underestimate the added value of a vet like him

I'd be down with adding Batum. Feel like he was in a weird situation in CHA with their focus on playing the young guys. He's only 31 he should still have something left.

I feel like someone is going to bring up Buddy Hield, which I'm not against, but I also wonder if people realize that Hield is like a month younger than Evan. I do think that Hield is a better player, but I think he has a bit more baggage that comes with him. I'm not totally against Hield, I'm just not as hot on him as some of the posters here are.

Just learned that Nemanja Bjelica has a nickname of "Belly." Hmm.

More seriously, trading Fourier for Bjelica means that i) Ross starts and that, baring another trade, Bjelica is the Magics starting SF. The dude is a career 40% long-ball shooter and having hime and Ross next to Fultz and Gordon will be a gosh-send for us Magic fans.
