I wouldn't be surprised if most people's favorite player on this board turns out to be RJ Hampton. (Current players on current team)

I’ve always seen him as a non-shooting PG, but not an elite playmaker or floor general. He’s an on ball player who’s best skills are his handles and hops right now.

Yeah, same. Never thought of him as a playmaker. I think of him as someone who needs a PG to get him the ball so he can score.

I think he has the skill to be a playmaker who can create for himself and learn to use hand-offs and kick outs, but I don’t see him as someone orchestrating the offense. I don’t think he needs someone else to get him the ball and set him up for his shots, just the rest of the team.

Wow reading the Bulls forum and they hated WCJ, hope we didn't make a mistake

So now we've got:

#1 pick: Fultz
#3 pick: Otto
#6 pick: JI
#6 pick: Bamba
#7 pick: WCJ
#15 pick: Okeke
#15 pick: Cole

I know if they did re-drafts most of these guys wouldn't be drafted there again, but that's a lot of talent (whether realized or unrealized) on the roster that we'll add a few more top picks to.

Well, other than JI, honestly, the ceiling, IMO, is quite low, right now.

A top 5 pick this year would improve it a lot, but I think currently they scream above average role players at best.

We didn’t. As long as you don’t expect WCJ to live up to the lotto pick they had. He should be a solid role player for years. The value in the trade is our tank and the bulls picks anyway.

The more I see Okeke in an extended role, the more I believe he can really be a good starting, complimentary piece on a playoff team. I think a forward rotation of Okeke / Isaac / WCJ OR Bamba (whoever wins out) has promise. It just all hinges on getting an elite wing scorer in the draft (easier said than done) and one of our guards becoming a good to elite level lead guard.

So many unknowns right now, but I really don't think this rebuild needs to be as deep or cutting as previous, so much hinges on the next 12 months of decisions
I still believe in Magic! Welcome to the Franz & Paolo era

WCJ's body type reminds me of Dwight for some reason.

Its bad that I've already seen enough and want WCJ to get more minutes than Bamba.

I'm not expecting it, per se, but listen, I've dug into a lot of tape on him since draft night && I'm not ready to say that he won't either. I see a legit scenario where he is an above-average starting center in this league sooner rather than later. You saw a little bit last night but he already does some really good things out there on both ends.

One thing that's sort of overlooked is his FTR as well. He's had a .444 FTR or higher each of the last two seasons. For some comparison, Vuc's career FTR is .153. Carter had 7 free throw attempts in 20 minutes last night && he hits them at a 75% clip.

Excellent screen setter, defender, switcher, && rebounder. He is very Al Horford to me, which would be an awesome pickup.

No doubt. I always thought he was going to be good but didn’t want him in the lotto because we needed to hit a home run and I just didn’t see a star player. Fast forward to today and I still feel that way. A solid role player can mean a solid starter so we’ll see. I would love to see a 1-2 punch between him and a bigger Bamba for the foreseeable future.

Not impressed with WCJ. I think he’ll be a starter in the league, Bamba might have more potential but needs to improve his motor. Mo Bamba with WCJ motor would be pretty good.

I think WCJ is a more skilled, higher-IQ Birch with less quickness. I am perfectly ok with moving on from Khem and riding out with Mo & WCJ moving forward. Mo still has higher potential but WCJ has higher floor. I've seen good things from Mo last couple games, but also have more focus on his weaknesses. If Mo can just improve his man defense and become more fundamentally sound in his rotations, he should be the starter, and will be a beast.

Isn't WCJ injury prone however?

even if he is an average starting center, its easier to win with that and above average wings, than with average wings and above average center. the emphasis is on PG and Wing play in todays game.

very much so. though only 21 so maybe something he can grow out of or strengthen his body. Curry was injury prone early on too. Though so was Greg Oden who didnt grow out of it.

Outside of the JI pick, What that list also does is support the anti-thank narrative...4 out of 5 would be picked lower in a redraft.

I could see Okeke and Cole giving him a run for his money, For me, im just waiting for the day when we see all 3 of these guys in the starting lineup with WC (theres no reason birch should be starting over him or bamba once the dust settles) and Otto porter (again theres no reason Ennis should be starting over him going forward)

But really i think our top 5 pick this year will likely become everyons favorite
