If the magic don't get Wemby or Scoot, I am ok with Anthony Black and George. Their games are nice.

I could see us coming out of this draft with complete backcourt overhaul...I love Scoot and then best-shooting wing left on the board as my dream scenario. Then we solidify our bigs rotation with Free Agency and trading suddenly redundant guys for BBIQ vets. Imagine a long-term core of Paolo, Franz, Suggs & Scoot...with, if the chips fall the right way, WCJ/Isaac? The more I see of Scoot, the more Ja I see...I was afraid he was a ball-stopper, iso guy - but he seems to make good reads and decisions as the initiator. Scoot's also doing two years playing men in the G-League, which gives me even more comfort that he's for real (as opposed to dominating lesser mortals-whether overseas or NCAA)

Good news for the tankers I guess. We've had one of the easier strengths of schedule so far in the league:

Houston is in 4th place. Expect them to win more games as their schedule eases up.

Yeah, unless it's Wemby I would be shocked and disappointed if either pick is a C, SF, or PF. The Magic are set at those positions. And with one of the biggest problems for the Magic being playmaking on the perimeter, the Magic should use both picks on the backcourt as this is a guard heavy draft,

I hate watching the losses pile up but at this point we would have the 1st and 7th pick in a loaded draft. I am ok with one last season of this losing. Then let’s hope we have the right pieces or can get them.

And Chicago has had the hardest and yet one of their losses was against us. If we sweep the bulls this year then you damn well know the tank was instituted by the FO and it was the plan

This is the year to grab a top 2 pick.

If we don’t, we sell the farm of our own pick + Chicago pick + future pick + Cole + Bol and whatever else to get one of those two picks.

I definitely think the Magic should overhaul the backcourt in this draft. If we end up number 1 and get Wembyama so be it, but I’d love to see us get Scoot Henderson and one of the better 2 guards and start putting the finishing touches on a legit young core for the team. In the meantime I’d like to see Fultz and Suggs clear some career hurdles and become a valid 6th and 7th man backcourt that gives significant contributions from the bench.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

What if we land the #1 and #5 picks?

Is there a team out there who would entertain giving up the #2 for the #5 + a haul of future picks and assets on our roster not named Franz or Paolo?

Jalen Suggs and Bol Bol are 100% on the table for this deal.

Orlando walks away with:

Scoot Henderson
Gary Harris (?)
Franz
Paolo
Wemby

If any team got the #1 or #2 in a "generational" draft, they're not trading out of it.

They'll definitely overhaul the backcourt. I think Suggs and Fultz are likely to remain (Fultz would most likely be the backup 6th man PG, Suggs would be the starting PG as he's a fantastic defender and works well with Paolo/Franz/Wendell.)

If they don't get the first pick. They'll most likely try to trade the pick for a Lillard/LaVine/George/Leonard/Durant level type star. They've said man of times They'll most likely to make moves to push the team to winning next year.

I think the Bulls could legit trade Derozan & Vuc (& Lavine if they can get someone to take his contract) and go heavy tanking to try and keep their 1st rounder.

Which if anything is more incentive for the Magic to tank, to prevent the Bulls from being able to move up a potential spot

He is coming from injury but i also read that he is not the smartest player. I would avoid him although big strong wing is our need. Maybe Whitmore will be better.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I agree that it could trigger a star trade, but we’re too far from good to bring in a 30+ yr old centerpiece. The CLE move is a great model…and price is probably similar for a younger star, even if not yet HOFer like above
