Paolo and Franz followed up 84 and 57 TS%'s with 50 and 45 TS%'s. Great job stars.

The five starters scored 20, 18, 17, 20 and 19. Not sure the last time I saw the love spread around that much.

The bench scored... meh.

Seems like it was rocky for a while (during Suggs' absence)... and then they learned Suggs was out for the year and it all fell apart.

This is so pathetic, Im a hardcore fan that watched 90% of our games the past 20 years. I watched the year we had Serge Ibaka and Biyombo, but I cant watch this pathetic team. I know were playing and I have no interest. And even when I check the score, I still cant believe we lost to the Raptors twice and Bulls on our home court.

Im going to keep saying it, fire Weltman and fire Mosley.

I didnt watch the game but again we get screwed because Wendell cant catch a ball without gathering. That was an easy tip dunk. If hes still on our team next year, im not watching

The answer is multi-layered, but one of the layers probably isn’t one you really want to hear.

I'm in the same boat. I have watched maybe 2-3, games live on TV in the last 2 & a half months. I have never in my life done that before with the magic. I'm at my lowest point with this organization. And there has been many low points in the last 10 years or so....

I mean what are the candidate explanations?

Franz carried, reaching franchise player equity, and delivered the team to Paolo in amazing shape, meanwhile Paolo returns and SUCKS bad, fumbling the baton which kills the culture and turns players and coaches against each other.

Additionally, Moe and Suggs are lost for the season which demoralizes the team even more. No hero return for Paolo, no promise of a complete team this season.

And the death knell probably is Weltman inaction, signaling that the season was a wash and a lottery selection was a reasonable outcome.

I also suspect there are some Goga issues with someone, some Cole issues as well, and maybe even some KCP issues.

Knicks grab the rebound with 9 seconds in a tied game and they IMMEDIATELY call a timeout. Mosley has made the stupid 'don't call a timeout so that they can't set up their defense' MULTIPLE times now. It's inexcusable and was the final straw for me.

His offense is TERRIBLE and I'm not seeing any growth from the players on that end. Then, throw in the fact that they're not even playing defense with energy anymore? He's cooked.

ESPN net points says that this was an offensive game with Coby as the MVP.

Our stars didn't have good games and blew good games from the rest of the starters. Our bench sucked as usual.

Cole +4.8
WCJ +4.5
KCP +3.4

Top three in dNet
WCJ +1.8
Franz +0.8
AB +0.1

By this framework our starters were +4.5, the bench -6.5.

I really don't think this is a coaching issue. I think Weltman doubled down on this season not being about this season and we are seeing the limitations of this strategy given the injuries.

Weltman quote around the deadline

“We’ve kind of doubled down on continuity.. it’s served us well but you have to earn that. There’s no sense in keeping it together if it’s not gonna lead to winning.”

Hate to say it but Paolo looks disinterested and slow.

We really suck. We don’t have the desire to win any longer.

One last note, this has the Bulls starters at +14, so a lot of damage was done by the starters against our bench, indicating that rotations really screwed us this game, which IS a coaching issue.

Just an unfortunate loss it should have been avoided.

His defense is never great but man... he was moving slow on that end tonight. Something is up for sure.
