Interesting I was wondering if teams could agree on extension because we haven’t heard anything on Paolo. Any speculation on why we haven’t heard a Paolo extended? Probably our team keeping stuff close to vest.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Wonder if they can/will pay Randle or if he’ll just opt-in? MIN was expected to be needing to shed $$ like BOS…I’d LOVE to get DDV ($11.9m)

Their financial situation isn't quite as dire as people think.

They'll have to let NAW walk, but otherwise they won't be in the 2nd apron.

DDV into MLE would be a better fit than NAW for ORL…IF MIN prefers NAW…do we even have a srp to attach anymore?

I had a similar thought a couple nights ago too. I still preferred NAW more, but DDV would be an amazing acquisition. Dilingham is in the wings waiting to shine in DDV's minutes.

No one said Reid for MLE unless it was like 3-4+ months ago. I said 2 months ago that he will get paid 24 mil per year/ 4 years and we should have tried to offer something like WCJ and one or two picks as a cheaper Big for them. I was almost 100% dead on.

If anything, NAW is duplicate talent for Atlanta. They may go after Jerome.

After watching the finals, can you really have to many NAWs on your roster?

Daniels has a 6'11" wingspan, and Drake Powell has a 7' wingspan. Add 6'10" from NAW, and that's some lengthy guards.

Orlando
Suggs 6'6"
Black 6'8"
Bane 6'4"
Richardson 6'6".

StatsMuse, ESPN, and multiple others said Naz Reid is a Small 5 Playoffs Center. In fact, many sources are having trouble saying he even shared minutes at the 4 at all, like 30% at the 4 and 70% at the 5. He looked positioned 100% as a full time 5.

I just saw I believe every single WCF game with my own eyes to learn the meta today, so to speak. Naz Reid was the center for 25 MPG because of his defensive versatility and semi-quicker agility to defend perimeter switches better than heavier or taller, slower centers like WCJ and Goga. I’ve been talking about him and Obi Toppin doing this all Playoffs long.

Watching WCJ’s switch defense on the perimeter against BOS in these past Playoffs was maybe the biggest weakness I saw in the ORL defense. But I won’t trash WCJ too much, he stepped it up somehow in 2-way Rebounding and really hustled his ass off. He is still a spacing big who will probably space better once everyone on the team is shooting better thanks to new snipers, return to the regression performances, and growth and improvement.

Regardless, Naz Reid was a better spacer than even WCJ as well, I believe. Hence why I was trying to trade WCJ and assets to MIN for him in many posts the last 2 months. I even predicted Naz’s new salary basically 100% correct, I said I was hoping for 24 mil per year and 4 yrs instead lof the real 25 mil/5 yrs.

If you want to believe it with me while no one else is right now, I strongly suspect the Weltman FO saw all the coaches starting to use these 4’s more and more as small 5’s because of defensive schemes and matchups that are happening too frequently, and that the FO strongly envisions Noah Penda as a Center for the Magic.

I don't particularly love Ayo, but he could fill the backup SG slot potentially.
