I hate getting caught up in this speculation. Getting pau gasol and arron afflalo makes no sense. As for those who confuse rebuilding and "losing as many games as possible," I am highly skeptical that a magic team replacing Dwight wih gasol wins many games so this lakers trade isn't going to bring devos a championship or set the Magic up for future success.

Well if Pau can be flipped, then not necessarily. ATL could use him, MIN could use him, HOU could use him.....there is a decent list of teams with some assets who might want to give him a go.

If that's the case, then this deal isn't happening. We all were freaked out about Brooklyn, I don't see it being different this time. I can't see us making a trade with Afflalo as the centerpiece. I'd love to get him, but he's not the main piece in a trade. The trade just doesn't make sense for Philly or us unless both Bynum and Gasol are included.

Absolutely disgusting. All the picks are gonna be mediocre at best from those teams....Young is on a pretty sizable contract. THAT is what we would get for Dwight? Ewwww....no wonder they said they prefer the HOU offer....of course they would. If we don't get one of either Pau/Bynum, it's a complete waste.

If LA is now willing to deal Bynum and Gasol,why not do a straight up swap with the Magic instead of this 4 way team dealings?Dwight for Bynum/Gasol..what did i miss?

Cuz what do we have that LA wants? We don't have anybody as productive as Harrington and fits that offense (he is a good stretch-4). I said months ago we should've tried Dwight + S&T Ryno + JRich for Bynum + Gasol, which I think would've made WAY more sense for both teams....but for whatever reason it didn't happen.

Dude you're acting like Al Harrington is anything more than serviceable. I actually see him as kind of redundant since the Lakers have Jamison and could sign Kenyon Martin if they wanted to as well.

Considering the fact that the Lakers desperately need bench scoring and have Steve Nash now Jason Richardson would actually be an asset for them. BBD just had a good playoff run.

I don't see how a trade of package of Dwight/BBD/Jrich isnt better than a package of Dwight/Harrington. And trust me I know we have little-to-no assets, I just think that Dwight/Harrington package is a pretty garbage return for Gasol/Bynum.
