Nickeil Alexander-Walker (cousin of Shai Gilgeous) is heating up vs Miami (not a great team 9-10) 14 points on 6-9 from the floor.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I liked Langford at the beginning of the year, and he definitely has talent. But I've watched him against Michigan State and he is not close to being an impact player in the NBA. He would be another project for us. I would look elsewhere.

For me, Langford would be a target to go after with a second 1st round pick acquired through a Ross trade. Langford might not last long enough on draft night to reach such a pick but still.

Morant, Garland, and Jarrett Culver are moving up for me.
Zion is amazing and probably the #1 overall pick.
RJ Barrett hasn’t really met expectations and I don’t know what elite skill he brings to the table from what I’ve seen. He seems like a less athletic DeRozan.
Langford doesn’t impress me much either, but he could be a guy to draft later in the first.
Reddish seems like a guy that could have a really long nba career as a extremely solid 3rd or 4th option 3 and D player.
Tre Jones is underrated and I could see him going higher than expected because of his defense.

Why are people so cought up in Garland hype when guy missed two months in a row and only sample size you get is 5 games and they won't him play until summer league at best ( when he is already drafted ).

Meniscus injuries should not be that serious.
"Darius had a very successful surgery, and will be better than ever when he returns," Drew said in a statement. "Unfortunately, he will be out for the remainder of this season."

Nickel Alexander-Walker looking very legit as a great guard to target in the draft, but I've also lost count how many times I've literally read Magic scouts were at so and so game, and nothing ever came of it in the summer.

Because he looked REALLY good in those 5 games? His scoring talent is obvious, and he withdrew from Vanderbilt because he knew he was going to get drafted. He said he wants to spend all the time after his surgery focusing on getting ready for the NBA draft.

Since we won't be high enough in the draft for Morant, I'm hoping Tre Jones continues to rise. I think I would take him over Garland. That injury worries me.

I'm taking best wing available (Culver, Reddish, NAW, Okpala) and really working to get Coby White from UNC with that Cavs pick or trading back into late 1st. This will likely change 10 times come draft night lol

So a wing and combo guard? White reminds me of Cuttino Mobley, not quite big enough for SG, but can play there and some point.
I would take one of those wings, and move back into round 1 for Tre Jones. A more traditional PG.

White is just so damn quick in transition and can do it all in terms of scoring. Passing needs work for sure but dude is exciting with the ball in his hands

I'm actually a fan of White's vision and passing, more concerned about his dribbling in the half court offense. Check out this play and pass, not many players are able to see this.

Completely agree. I like Tre Jones a lot actually. Doesn’t get flustered he’s locked in and focused.MagicMatic wrote:Morant, Garland, and Jarrett Culver are moving up for me.

I don’t know if he’s deferring but I’m still waiting to see what RJ is proficiently good at. I actually like Reddish more because he has an established skill set that should translate over. He’s not elite but it would be nice to have a rookie that comes with actual skills for once.

Thanos (Steve Clifford) would also like him a lot because he takes care of the ball and is a great defender.

Tankathon has us drafting http://www.tankathon.com/players/matisse-thybulle in the 2nd round.
HEIGHT 6'5" (7'0" wingspan)
2.1bpg and 3.2spg... I believe it makes total sense for us...

Culver and Alexander-Walker are my top 2 (realistic) targets right now. I'm ready to replace Fournier at the SG spot this offseason.
Fultz/DJ
Culver/Ross
Isaac/Trade or Free agency
AG/Trade or Free agency

I like those two and add in Reddish and Porter Jr for me. We need to pray hard that Fultz works out.

I would still draft Morant or Garland if they are BPA.
But given this draft is wing heavy, I am expecting a guard.

If we don't make the playoffs, I predict that we will have a pick around #11 as these teams will have a worse record:
- Eastern: NY, Cleveland, Chicago, Atlanta and Detroit/Washington
- Western: Dallas, NO, Memphis, Phoenix and Minnesota
