We should allow for a bidding war on T-Ross. Yes, it sucks to see him go, but he is unlikely to resign this off season unless we overpay. There are a ton of teams in need of help on the wing and T-Ross is about as good as it gets on his deal. KCP won't get that deal done, but the Lakers do have some nice young players.

KCP is a terribly inefficient scorer. Solid defensively. Ross and KCP are almost interchangeable, but I would still take Ross over KCP.

No way the Lakers would move Ball for Tross but if that was offered Id have to do it. I love Ross but I still think Ball can be good and we need a PG to get JI, AG and Bamba the ball in good spots. He's still a gifted passer but with Lebron there your not gonna see it as much. I would def miss Ross and he would certainly flourish playing with Lebron but for the overall development of our players we NEED to find a PG with good court vision and passing

Ball is a gifted passer, but thats it. he is subpar shooter which can be hidden in college but not the NBA and his defense is overrated.

Ingram and Hart are the main players I'm interested in from LAL. Bonga and Kuzma to a lesser extent

If LA wants Ross, then I want Ingram and would be willing to throw in this year's 1st to make it happen.

Ingram's numbers this year WITHOUT LeBron are tremendous.

+10.9 Net Rating, 60.7 TS%, 22.1 AST%.

I just got a gut feeling his shooting is gonna improve. I don't know if hes ever gonna be a sniper but I think his shooting will peak at a guy you can't leave open. That's all ever wanted from Payton but he could never quite get there. Payton was a bad shooter in college and that continued in the NBA. Ball shot fairly well at UCLA. Seems like at least he can be a solid shooter.

The Lakers would be insane to do such a deal with Ross being a free agent. I'm sure the Lakers offer for Ross is KCP and a pick. Which I would decline

Question for you guys being Elf was a decent passer as well as can board etc. Do you guys think Ball is that much better than Elf?

Ball: 38% FG, 30.5% from 3, 7.2 apg, 6.9 rpg, 1.7 spg
Elf: 43.5% FG, 30.1% from 3, 6.4 apg, 5.2 rpg, 1.3 spg

Seems like Ball is just an improved Elf that is a more horrid scorer. Fans here would hate him with passion being he cannot shoot ball.

BINGO... Said it yesterday that Ball is a small improvement over EP with defense and passing ability. He's lucky LBJ went to LA to mask his mediocre basketball game.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Elf > Ball.
Almost all negatives of Elf are same on Lonzo, just worst.
He has terrible motor, bad body language, avoids shots at rim, passes layups and shoots like scrub from any range.
His defense might be bit better but his fans act he is Tony Allen, and he is not.

So I guess RIP to our dreams of getting Dinwiddie or Russell?

I think Magic Johnson might be delisuonal enough to want cap space for KD + someone else like Kawhii.

Yea that’s what I was thinking as well.. very team friendly contact for Dinwiddie, makes it even more likely they bring back DLo

Hopefully sometime next decade we will see competent PG play again

Seems like next season we still will roll with DJ as a starter
unrestricted pg fas market next summer isnt very gr8 and you also need to take into consideration we basicly compete for each of those pgs with the Suns

Brooklyn is hunting big game...even though they strike out every year with FA, if they get a nibble they will clear the decks quick for more space. IF we decide Russell is our target, I hope we make an offer quickly, forcing them to match or jump in the FA deep end. The worst would be to allow BRK to hang onto DLO's rights while shopping around...same thing they've done to other teams the last few years...

also, are there trade restrictions on Dinwiddie? Often, a young guy locked into a fair to team-favorable deal is a lot better trade bait than a pending UFA. I still feel like AG might end up in that category with his fair deal.

Nets are probably not in a rush to move Russell and at this stage, they are really trying to get the most for him. If nobody bites by next trade deadline, I reckon Russell may go cheaper. But, I bet they would demand Bamba or Isaac for Russell at this time.

I wonder if Jameer Nelson is staying in shape?.. I'm not even joking either. I can't take much more of Grant getting all the back up pg minutes.
