Mitchell is an All-NBA player. He's better right now than any other player on the Magic and it's not close.
Yup. We are years yet away

This is why I dont care about games like last night. It’s not consistent enough and when guards are shooting well these guys can’t respond.

Lol sure Mosely game plan is the problem. His clipboard must read: let cleveland dunk and shoot wide open 3's. We will win if we do these things.

Absolutely is… Can tell you the post game conference, “We play hard and fight for each other and….” So over him not holding his players publicly accountable… I’d love to have a boss that lets me do whatever the **** I want…

 Calling out players in public is a GREAT way to lose respect of your team and they stop fighting for you. You should never take up coaching.

He absolutely should rip them a new one in the locker room though

You’re right, we’ve never heard a championship level coach do that? But I’m not talking individuals by name, but the collective… And at least show some accountability on the sideline… Look at coaches that win championship and you’ll find that they have earned the right to do that, and definitely are not afraid to do it… Have coached for years, but youth sports isn’t the same as millionaire athletes…

This team has fight in them. The attention to detail has to be better though.

The game doesn't have to be over, but we've already spotted them so many free points by virtue of missed free throws and turnovers. Like Knightro said, if we weren't so god awful in the "shoot yourself in the foot" categories, this lead would be much more workable. As it stands, they will need the Cavs to have an ice cold second half, and be close to perfect themselves. Because even if the Cavs do go cold, we don't score, and we help cold teams score when we turn it over and don't rebound.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Go watch the opening dozen plays of any game Wendell starts this season and you’ll see the plays called for him. Ball movement happens as a result of a game plan and the defensive rotations they expect. Carter is absolutely a factor in that.

The amount of plays the Magic run where the only result is "Wendell is taking this shot" is a tiny number each game.

If Franz and Wendell run a 3/5 pick and roll, the ball only ends up in Wendell's hands on a lob if the defense defends it a certain way. That's not a "play" for Wendell. He's a finishing option off Franz's creation.

So an ISO is the only play that can run for someone? Because every modern play is designed to have multiple scoring options - to get those scorers open looks. Putting them in that position means you’re running the play “for” them as much as you’re running it for the ball handler.

And yes, Wendell is factored into the offense with plays that are built for him. Don’t try to minimise it just because it contradicts what you want to believe.

Magic are shooting 50 from the field and 50 from 3. Bad FTs but still...its the defense that is letting the team down.

Why don't I hate Cleveland? I actually don't mind them having success. It's nice to see them do well without LeGM

Even Suggs and Black are just bad defensively tonight. Force them to drive, stop giving up 3s

Bensational wrote:You think they just wing it? Like it’s just chance that the ball ends up with Wendell? You don’t think they have specific matchups and places they want to try to generate looks and shots from? Dude, these are pros, of course they have a game plan which is going to influence who’s shooting.

The NBA is *waaaaay* more read and react than you think it is.

And for someone like Carter, who almost never actually creates his own offense unless it's on an OREB, the vast majority of his shot selection is basically predicated on someone else creating something and then defenders rotation and the correct passes being made to open players.

Can’t make a run and cut down the lead if they are going to wet every shot
