May be soonish

Why not work himself into shape playing? They must be slightly concerned about his ability to take live action contact.

Huh?

I think it's just the designated speak for someone practicing and returning soon.

Let me rephrase: Why can't he play himself into game shape?

It's probably negligent in a lot of regards. Not sure any team would allow that, especially to their best player who couldn't do any physical activity with a core injury like that and just throw him back out there. I don't think he'll be on a Gary-like return where it takes two more weeks though.

I don't mind.... It's better than just leaving it as "out indefinitely" and better than making everyone go crazy with anticipation than "questionable" ... Not sure what other designation they could use. Now we know ... What phase he is in.... And that we can see him on the court sooner than later.

Ok... news report say that Paolo is " COMPLETELY HEALED"

How long does conditioning take?

Banchero will come back before he is 100% conditioning wise. He will be on minutes restrictions.

Yeah I get the minutes restriction thing. Wonder when they will let him loose though

Based on Paolo’s Friday interview, he made it sound like 1-2 weeks. I’m looking at our 3-game homestand January 9-12.

That’s exactly what I figured as well.

The positive spin is Paolo and Franz will both be fresh for the second half of the season.

And medically stronger and I’m sure smarter (educated themselves with the injury, how it happened and what they can do in the future to help prevent it).

“We will have to see how his body responds” if he doesn’t play “we will do it by committee”.
