Germany is playing Sweden today. I expect limited minutes for Franz and a lot of time for Tristan.

I wouldve thought Goga would be their go-to-guy... but he isn't. At all.

I reckon most of that German team all play Euroball and play together often whereas Goga just got there and doesn't have the Chemistry and apparently the attitude to assimilate to the coaches schemes.

Georgian :D

But as to that reasoning, that doesn't add up. Their highest scorer is Mamu.. dude that played for the Spurs and just got traded to the Raps. He and Goga would be in the same situation yet thye are feeding Mamu the ball.

Goga isn't and has never been a scorer. Completely different games. Besides, Goga appears to not have the chemistry nor the attitude to assimilate to the coaches schemes. Yet, Goga did just score 15pts with 8 in the fourth quarter to will his team over the defending champions.

Yeah, hes not shooting with a hitch anymore. Looks like he just needs enough reps to get comfortable with the shot he has now and we'll get a real answer by the middle of this upcoming season.

Fultz's thoracic outlet syndrome flared up wildly where you couldn't figure out the strength if his arm along with the shooting/form.

Since he started playing for Germany this summer, preparation games + 2 games of actual tournament, he shoots 6-30 for 3.

That is 20% on something that is long mid range in nba (21 feet ).

He finished playoffs with 7-37 for 3.

In months heading into playoffs he shot below 30% for 3.

Baby steps...

Our first problem was Franz hitch. Its somewhat solved.

Next problem is his shooting form from 3. It looks good.

Now the problem is its not going in...

That's just not true at all. Taking a look at the minutes distribution alone proves you're wrong. The games have 40 minutes in FIBA. In the 1st game TDS and Franz played 43 minutes in total, in 2nd - more than 41. And there were longer periods when the 2 played together. Today they played next to each other too already.

I watched 1st game... they were always subbed for eachnother.

The 2nd game, when the game was already outbof reach, i noticed theybplayed together at the end of the 3rd.

Game going right now.... i skipped some parts but i dont think they played together so far. Maybe they did. I watched 1st 6minsnof the 1st quarter and the last 3 mins of the 2nd quarter

To those worrying about Franz 3s... watch this game against Lithuania... no hitch, logo area, well defended but still perfect looking 3pt makes..

Mid 3rd quarter vs. Lithuania Franz with 21 Pts & 2/2 3s (maybe 2/3 because he had a halfcourtheave at the end of the half im not sure if it was in time but normal 3's 2/2) One from the corner and his typical stepback from the top. Both clean and without a hitch.

He missed his first 3pt shot... ifni recall correctly, GER was perfect like 5/5 before Franz took a 3 and had GER first miss of the game.

False. https://www.fiba.basketball/en/events/fiba-eurobasket-2025/games/123011-MNE-GER#playByPlay - it shows you're spreading the wrong narrative.

Considering how bad it was at the end of the season this is miles better. He just started working on his mechanics and form in May. Im not expecting him to turn into Steph Curry within 3 months.

The hitch is at his shoulders instead of his waist... but there's still a hitch.

Who is responsible for breaking this perfectly fine shot (0:12 and many more examples from this one game)?

Im always open to be proven wrong but please, show me replays especially the friendlies ( before thks tourney ) and during the first part ( before garbage time ) where Franz doesnt get subbef for Tristan and Tristan doesnt sit right away when Franz gets back.

This game against LIT was the time i saw the 2 play together in "meaningful" minutes.

Evil part of me knew when Franz took that 3 that he was gonna break GER perfect field goal percentage lol
