Good:

Source correcting me: #Rockets didn't offer Kevin Martin for Gortat. They specifically wouldn't offer him.

Lewis will never get his due from people for the work he put in in Orlando. His contract figure wasn't his fault. His clutch play helped take us to the finals in 2009, and he spent his entire time here playing out of position, taking extra poundings, and doing his best to help the team be successful. Thanks Rashard.

Hedo, if you can play at least 80% of how you were for us 2 years ago, I'll be happy :)

Hedo is only 31. :)

lol literally i just looked it up and said the same thing right before this

hey, that's not bad for Hedo, he should be able to pick up the chemistry and system once again and flourish... I can't wait!

I'd rather us have waited longer on to make any trades cause J Rich ain't an upgrade to Vince Carter.

I wonder what the trade means for q, with hedo and jrich at the 3 when will he ever get to play?.

Whats the point of that. This team needs a dynamic player to play with Dwight. Not to carry the second team.

I don't think people realize what Hedo and Arenas's playmaking will do for this team and Howard specifically. Then throw in the fact that we get more consistent scorers than VC and Lewis in Arenas, JRich and Turk. This was a good trade.

Looking at our lineup...

- Dwight has C locked down.
- Bass deserves to start at PF.
- Jameer is the starter at PG until further notice.

That leaves two positions open for three players. Arenas likely won't come off the bench, so you can pencil him in at SG. So, then it's down to J-Rich or Hedo at SF.

My question: Is a lineup of Jameer/Arenas/J-Rich/Bass/Howard with Hedo as a 6th man playing starters minutes good enough to beat Miami, Boston, or LA?

I didnt like the PHX deal, but well, it isnt that bad either. JRich is a upgrade over Carter, Pietrus wouldnt have PT and was demading more minutes earlier in the season, so we stayed with JJ and Q, who wont demand a lot of PT. The bad part is trading Gortat + 1st for garbage.

We need a backup center, whats the FA options?

Lewis for Arenas is great, IMO. Arenas has a bad contract? Yes, but at least he can produce something.

Gilbert Arenas has officially been traded to the Magic for Rashard Lewis.
Orlando had concerns about Arenas' health and the $62.4 million left on his contract, but he's 29 years old and has shown flashes of his old explosive self this season. He seems best suited to playing SG, which would shift Jason Richardson to SF, and the alternative is to make Arenas the PG while Jameer Nelson comes off the bench. However you slice it, Stan Van Gundy now has copious offensive firepower at his disposal -- and a defensive MVP to clean things up at the other end. Dec. 18 - 3:54 pm et

I know, plus it gives the magic a lot of options in the backcourt and wing to mix and mash line-ups... so a lot of versatility is added back on the team

Me to

I feel that everyone looks at Hedo's past and says oh gosh we're going to get him back. The fact is he's turned into what Rashard Lewis is.
