That's why I say blow it up and draft a tier 1 scorer. I don't hate that group at all. I just don't see it winning a championship. That's the goal right?

The worst place to be in the NBA is stuck in mediocrity. I think that team is good, sort of like the Hawks. Will always make the playoffs but never have the potential to get to the Conference Finals. Best way to build a contender is to draft well to land some real all-star caliber talent, and then attract free agents.

I only hated KG when we were good and (sort-of) rivals with the Celtics.

KG is the guy you'd hate to play against but would love on your team. Same way I've felt about Rondo.

He's an ass, always has been and always will be, but I would gladly take him on the team.

I do not think the Magic have the pieces to pull off a trade to land Marshall if someone makes a run at him in the mid lottery. I do not care even a little bit that he is a below average defender at this point. Jameer isn't making any All NBA Defensive team ever. He reminds me a ton of Andre Miller.....also not a good defender, but who wouldn't take Miller to pair with Dwight?

I think his floor is Andre Miller. I think his ceiling is Jason Kidd.

I agree with you, I just did not want to get carried away and say it. I think Kidd was a better athlete coming outa college. But their games are very very similar. I will do backflips if we pull off a trade for Marshall or he slips to us.

Is there a team in the lotto who desperately needs a pg? I'm sure you could make a case for almost every team in the lotto who needs a pg, but are there any whos #1 need is at the point?

Portland and New Orleans are teams that I think will look at point guards. What I'm hoping for is Marhsall's stock falls as a result of his inability to participate in workouts. I'm pretty sure he said he'd be at that NBA Combine on the 8th and 9th (on ESPNU for those who want to watch) and would try to workout for teams after that. But I want Lillard's and Teague's stock to rise so that they are taken ahead of Marshall. I still don't get the fascination with Teague, but a couple mocks got him going before Marshall.

This. Once he puts that Magic jersey on, he'll get my full support.

Just looked at it, and I could see Houston making a run at Marshall with the news that Lowrey wants out. And I am not all that impressed with Teague either. Lillard is intriguing, but there is not a better pure point in this draft then Marshall

As I said before, I would absolutely hate it if KG ends up in Orlando. I hate that guy so much.

Andrew Nicholson worked out for us this past week. I could see the Magic drafting him. Even though we have a log jam of 4's, it could come down to picking the best player available. Right now, I'm hoping Marshall or Harkless fall to us. But in the late teens to early 20's, Nicholson could be the best available if those other 2 are drafted early. I didn't really follow him that much in college, but reading the reviews on him and watching the highlights, he looks like he has a nice offensive game in the post. Not sure what he can do on defense. Looks like he needs to get in the weight room. I think the Magic's reaches are Harkless and Marshall. Considering we brought in Nicholson and Taylor, I think they are our safety picks.

I know he's playing against subpar A10 competition, but the dudes footwork is legit. I'm guessing the only reason he'd be available at 19 is cause of his size. Wonder if he is a legit 6'9"?

Same here. I think I'd rather go with Jeffery Taylor between the 2 of them. I think Taylor is a safer pick. At least we know he has the tools to be a decent to good NBA player. Maybe I'm just biased towards Taylor because he played against elite competition in college. His footwork is really nice, but he looks like he'd need time in the weight room to bang with NBA power forwards. He may not be a guy to help right away.

Not me, I would rather miss the playoffs than to watch garnett lead us to a championsip.

I have seen both Kendall Marshall and Moe Harkless names been talked about numerous times in this thread so I pose this question: Assuming Orlando moves up to the top 10 picks and both are available who do you choose to go with?

My answer would be Kendall Marshall because of not wanting to pass up the opportunity to get a game changing PG.
