Look we should all know Jalen Suggs is a super streaky shooter.. he's going to get really hot and go on a heater soon. Hang in there with him fans.

Haven't seen the game yet but score & % looks like a good old early 2000's eastern conference slug fest. :) But Happy about the win.

JI, Moe, and even KCP show the same ability to impact winning, though JI and KCP are taking a while to ramp up.

Suggs, obviously. Franz and Paolo, of course.

Anyone noticing that TDS has this in his game as well? I think he played extremely well without scoring a lot.

Cole is one of these ones as well, though he is extremely temperamental.

You know who doesn't have this, IMO?

WCJ, Harris, Jett, and Houstan.

Harris and WCJ are 1st and 2nd on the team in net rating for what it's worth.

Harris is still contributing. Last game in his few minutes he first pulled the chair move on Taj forcing a turnover and had a steal right after, when we blow the game open. He is prolly a super expensive Luxus as the 4th 3&D guard but even without hitting shots he always impacts winning with defense and vet moves.

He can't really shoot off the dribble, but he constantly throws up bs at the rim from the mid range. Also, he had Goga for several lobs at KCP in the corner all night but refuses to pass it to them.

It's like the only people he consistently passes to that Paolo is out is his brother (first, second, and third option) and then Suggs and sometimes AB. That's it.

Funny. I didn't see this a few years ago on RealGM when Luka had poor shooting nights. Not saying he is the next Luka, but people tend to have extremely high expectations for every game.

Every scorer got those nights regularly except Jokic  Paolo got more 7 for 20 nights in his career than 10 for 15. Luka still got those games a lot. As long as he gets to the freethrowline its ok.

Read on Twitter

Got to find a way to keep giving him minutes here and there, he's probably the only guy on the team that can hit this shot.....i mean he's 13th on the team in minutes(107)....but has the 3rd most 3pt makes(14).....

Box score thoughts:

This is only the third time this season a team won a game with a sub-100 offense. Coach will love that fact!

Orlando is now one of three Eastern teams with a winning record; meaning 12 Eastern teams have a losing record. LOL

The Magic won the FG% battle (on 40% shooting :o ) and won the game.

This win came from Orlando having a >33% three-ball night at 34%. That was litterally the differnce in this game as the Pacers was held to 33%. Indiana had three more made FTs and that was off-set by the Magic's three additional made FGs, two were three-balls.
A win at the margins is a beautiful thing!

The Magic dominated rebounding differential at +10

In the end this is one of those forgettable wins that will matter a lot when it is late-season playoff-seeding time.

And-1

The knock on Banchero's game is poor efficiency. If he gets to a >55eFG%, Banchero will be a top-5 player. For now he is top-15 because of these "7 for 20 nights".

p.s. that 55% is not a random stat, it is what Banchero is at so far this season. This year, on higher usage, his 2pt% and 3pt% are also up. That's growth!

Looking at the top-7, these are the best teams in the respective conference. Scoring is up league wide, but defense is still what wins games!

Team EPM ranks us 14th. 27th Offensive EPM and 2nd Defensive EPM.

Der deutsche Elefant is up to 13th overall in the league in BPM. Not bad for a pachyderm.

Important to point out OKC defense is best in past 10 years, by def rating. So in any other normal situation we would be 1#

Hard fought win.
Our offense without Franz is almost non existent outside transition. We couldnt score at all when Franz was subbed out in the first half. In the second half our defensive intensity rose and we had a run without him but overall it was brutal.
Suggs gave no creation. Dissapointing but not suprising. Black was better altough far from nba level. I wondered why we didnt play Cole there. He is bad but at least can dribble.
Questioning Franz is silly. Yes he is not perfect on every read but he is carrying this team as #1 option. He is also better when aggressive even if he misses some pass opportunities.
Jett Howard gives this team more than Cole overall and is increasing his role. I wonder if he gets some more ball handling responsibilities. He made some good passes today, quick reads.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

If okc can keep that up without Chet and IHart until December, then ill acknowledge that they really are better than us in defense.
