That seems likely. They can offer him more than the MLE if they’re pivoting to cap space without Beasley returning.

Jerome probably fits better.

I just saw a headline that Duncan Robinson opted out and will test free agency

Sexton basically traded for absolutely nothing.

Well…we get to see Sexton 4 times per season.

The Sexton return is underwhelming.
The real lesson? We spent way too much time pining for fringe guys.

Charlotte has Kalkbrenner and no backup.

This front office has a type and they will not compromise. That is reason Tyus Jones is being heavily considered and Sexton was not. Same with Simons they don’t fit. Bane did fit and they weren’t going to be deterred when he became available.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

The Hornets have gotten exponentially better this offseason with the moves they have made.

I noticed their twitter handle says "New Era. New Mindset" and wow that has been obvious with some of their draft and trade choices.

What's the difference between Tyus and the other two?

Basketball IQ Sexton had a 1.65 Ast/TO ratio and 14.1% Turnover %. Tyus was 4.7 AST/TO with 7.4% turnover %.

Meh.

G: Ball, Sexton, Micic
G: Miller, Green, Smith Jr.
F: Knueppel, McNeeley, James
F: Bridges, Salaun, Williams
C: Diabate, Kalkbrenner

I don't think that team is winning 30 games.

Actually there pretty much identically defensive ratings too between Tyus and Sexton. Honestly Tyus is all around the way better player.

Clarkson is probably next. He probably gets waived at some point this season.

Hmm, fair point. I thought maybe you had a typo and meant they all sucked on defense and were being avoided equally for that reason.
