You know what happens? The longer we hold on to Dwight, the more teams Dwight will be willing to be traded to, the better the offers are. Relax guys.

The new CBA makes it a lot harder for him to leave in the summer if we have him still. I don't think people are seeing what kind of decision and options he'll have if he's still here. I've already made a lengthy post about it and no one responded, but I really think you gotta take a look at the CBA changes and see what kind of situation he'll be forced and the pros and cons of staying or leaving. In my eyes, if we keep him til summer, the best decision he can make for himself is opt-in one more year.

There's very little reason to trade him right now. So people whining that they can't take it anymore, strap in, because this SHOULD go all season.

Somethin smells but I have said the same thing in an earlier post. Wouldnt be easy for him uin less what he says is true "I only want to win"

You cant win a championship with this, with all those super teams out there. Either we keep Howard or we rebuild.

Maybe we can send Gasol or Bynum to New Jersey for 5 first round picks.

I would much rather make him walk from the money. I can handle sucking for a few years and go into rebuild mode. Why let dwight get everything he wants and all the money and look like a good guy. Make him choose to walk away and not get to cop out and say well they traded me.

Talks between the Magic and Nets reached the ownership level before Otis Smith began to inform teams that Dwight Howard had been removed from trade consideration.

Howard told teammates on Tuesday that he thought the trade to the Nets was a “done deal,” a league source told Y! Sports. Twenty-four hours later on Wednesday, Howard told them he was under the impression that “ownership killed it,” the source said.

What does "ownership level" mean? This whole story doesn't make sense.

I think that means the GM presented the deal to the owner. Sort of like when the NBA player's union wouldn't present them a deal until they thought it was the best they'd get or that they would vote on it. So, Otis approved of the trade, took it to Martins/Devos who turned it down. IMO

aka I want the most money I can get and still **** on Orlando. If this is true **** this POS. Call his bluff let him walk and lose millions, selfish baby he is.

This.

He's acting like a punk... i'd let him walk, lose millions and build from the bottom up. I can handle being bottom feeders for some good picks. I can't handle letting him get everything he wants while we're just mediocre/s*** for years and years to come

As I believe there is alot he deserves, if any/all is true whats being reported he has out grown himself and there for become selfish. Let him walk and lose. Been at the bottom before nuthin new.

If it comes to that, Dwight just needs to be talked to, and convinced to stay 1 more year. And with the financial sacrifices he'll make to leave next summer, it won't take much convincing to give the Magic one more year. If he opts in, we have a plethora of expirings that we can trade out, and can give Dwight a clearer plan on the Magic's future and show him that he can win here.
