People are really sleeping on him. What I like about him is his DEFENSE. We really could use him.

Can't believe he has 0 votes in this thread. Probably because we have way too many JJ Redick fans who don't want to see him replaced.

Dion Waiters is another guy that we need to look at. Especially since he can play PG too.

He was added after most people voted. I don't think you can change votes after the fact. A bunch of people have been talking about him as one of the top prospects since page 1.

I missed this part. Dion Walters is another guy im interested in taking a deeper look at. Problem is i like him only if he can play a attacking PG role. I don't like his size as a SG, but i am intriged if he can actually play a PG role even if it is an Arenas (Agent Zero version) style/size PG.

I cannot figure out if he can play PG yet, because nothing i can find shows me that he can OR can't (for that matter)play it, so he is something of a mystery to me.

I truly feel that after they show their skills at the combine that neither Teague, Wroten nor Ross will be there at 19 and the Magic will be stuck drafting some stiff like Meyers Leonard.Image

Teauge.. Ross... maybe. But why do you like Wroten? I notice he has some fans here, but I can't understand why. His shooting is putrid, he's an undersized SG who isn't versatile enough to play PG... What is it with that guy? His 3pt FG% last year was .161. Good grief.

I would take Meyers over all of those guys except maybe Ross and that is a big maybe, because you just don't get centers with Meyers ability every day. I would take Leonard over any big man in this years draft except Anthony Davis.

To be honest the one game I saw of Wroten's (UDub vs. Marquette) He looked pretty average.

But all the scouting reports I read of his say he's a legit point guard with handles, passing and vision. He's 6-6 in shoes according to Draftexpress so he definitely has the height to be a SG, although like I said his natural position is a PG. I think his ceiling could be a less-quick Russell Westbrook, while his floor at the very least could be Rodney Stuckey, which is very good value for where the Magic are drafting.

As for the shooting thing, the Magic have plenty of that. What they need right now is a guy who will consistently take their man off the dribble and break down a defense. Id'e rather the Magic draft a guy like Wroten and hope he develops a jump shot, as opposed to drafting an undersized, alligator armed shooter and hope he develops Wroten's athleticism.

Leonard over Drummond? This guy is Chris Mihm 2.0.

Im not worried, theres so much good talent in this draft that they all cant go before us and someone will have to slip to us, so we'll get a good player with a little effort from a compitant GM

Drummond has no heart for the game nor does he have any true offensive talent either. Leonard has a very good all around game and will be able to get his offense and play good defense in the nba.

I would like Kendall Marshall to fall to us. I think he would be a great value with the 19th pick.

6' 4
High BBall IQ - He plays at his pace and controls game
Great Passer
Good Vision - Keeps his head up and always looking to dish

The knock on him is that he is not a super athlete, but niether is Andre Miller or Jason Kidd, Marshall can be compared to both of thier games. Getting a point allows us to deal Duhon or Nelson (if he does not opt).

I really like kendall marshall. i see him as a older jkidd where hes more crafty and knowledgeable then anything and will hit the open shot when teams sag off him. and at 6'4'' and young legs hell be a good defender even if not super athletic, just look at kidd now, because hes so smart he doesnt need alot of speed to be a great defender.

The thing about Marshall is that he doesn't seem to be good at at anything else except passing. I heard about this kid since last year when he wasn't on any radar because my roommate knew him when they were younger. He said Marshall was a cocky SOB, but that's every player and sometimes that's a good trait. If he slide to us, we'll take him, but I'm not too impressed with his skillsets.

People are complaining that he isn't the best shooter, defender, lacks athleticism, these are things that he can improve with coaching, practice and hard work. However he is the best floor general, passing PG in this draft with high basketball IQ and great court vision. This team has lacked a true floor general/passing PG since D12 has been here. Every mock site compares him to Andre Miller, Jason Kidd and Marc Jackson.

That's a lot of skills to improve. It's hard to improve his athleticism, so I'm not counting on that. As for defending, I don't see him improve all that much either because of his wingspan and athleticism. It's OK though, I don't think defensive skills in PGs is that important. His shooting, I think he can improve. If he can improve his shooting to go along with his passing, then he'll be a good PG.
