If we don't get Gasol even, then we'd hopefully be coming out with a couple of those four I like, with like 3-5 1sts and Afflalo. I see a legit, to-develop rotation of Afflalo/Liggins/JJ at SG with Q Miller/Harkless at SF, Faried/Nicholson at PF/C and finally 3-5 1sts with our own lotto pick selection.

lmao there's no way Denver gives up Lawson without getting Dwight

In the most likely scenario, Magic would get neither Pau Gasol nor Andrew Bynum, source says. Bynum would go to Philly if deal gets done.

lolwut

Sounds like LA, Philly, and Denver forgot to include Henny in their negotiations.

That means out of the 4 best players in the deal...
Orlando gets zero of them.
While giving up the best player.

Makes perfect sense.

What about Iggy?

I don't know why they would really want him as the main piece of a trade but I wouldn't put it at 0%

Bynum however has to be considered as zero chance though.

Every single deal (Houston, Cleveland, and now Philly/Den) has Bynum going to another team. The obvious message I think has to be that they will just not touch him under any circumstance

I was one of the major Bynum supporters and still consider him to the best trade, but even I can recognize that ownership has no interest in him and any fake trades involving him going to Orlando are just wastes of time

I really don't know what some of ya'll are expecting from a Dwight trade. Even the Rockets trade people wanted their 3 rookies, 2 picks, Donatas and Kevin Martin. lol. It's okay to want more than this but some people think we'd get so much when we wont get close to that.

Do we want his contract? The only reason we would want Iggy would be to appease Howard and keep him here in the same way Johnson went to the Nets

that makes sense, 4 teams involved, the magic trade the best player, and will receive the 5th best player in a deal...

And zero lottery picks.

If LA is now willing to deal Bynum and Gasol, why not do a straight up swap with the Magic instead of this 4 way team dealings?Dwight for Bynum/Gasol..what did i miss?

Rudolph asked the same dumb question ;)

Cuz what do we have that LA wants? We don't have anybody as productive as Harrington and fits that offense (he is a good stretch-4). I said months ago we should've tried Dwight + S&T Ryno + JRich for Bynum + Gasol, which I think would've made WAY more sense for both teams....but for whatever reason it didn't happen.

The best center of this generation. Without question, in a fair deal, Orlando gets back both Bynum and Gasol for Dwight.
Unfortunately... that bird flew the coop a long time ago.

Yes, well that was my point. They obv want something more than just Dwight. So I am saying what ELSE do we have? The question was why don't the Magic and Lakers just do a straight up swap...why do the other teams have to get involved....and the answer is obv because the Lakers prefer the other teams' deals.

In a word...

No.

Orlando sends out the best player and gets ZERO of the best 4 players in return.

No.

August 5th has passed by.... WTF? I thought the hold up on the Dwight trade was waiting for Donatas' signing restriction to pass.

:( LMAO.

But at least you could UNDERSTAND making a deal with Houston knowing at the very least you'd get a few promising young players and a lottery pick or two.

This proposed deal?
No good picks.
And not even getting one of the 4 best players in the trade.
0% chance of happening as reported.

Rudolph believes it will happen

George Mikan, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal and it's looking like Dwight Howard will soon be joining the club. Say what you will about the Lakers, but they get it done all the time. It's easy to hate Blake Carrington, but people still watched Dynasty; and they'll watch the Lakers.
