i think people's biggest issue with Gary is that he's unreliable......and unfortunately he is.....he's in street clothes right now....not his fault but it's part of the game.....best ability, availability

They weren't making these crazy layups in the first 5 games so I'm not really going to sit here and say the defense is bad. A couple of them may have been easy but a lot of them were way up there trying to get over 6'10 guys. I think we miss Gary in this regard as he helped prevent them from every getting all the way to the basket

This has got to be close to some kind of record for layups. Our interior defense can literally not be any worse. I could defend with the same effectiveness.

Magic are not giving up 3s and Cavs are making tough layups. It's the strategy Mosley implemented, most likely because Cavs are playing Mobley at center and can spread the floor.

They don't have Allen and Mobley (for now), so I guess the adjustment was to go small. We haven't adjusted for that.

Post like this dont understand that it's not really about "rim protection". It's about rotations and stopping penetration or making it harder to get to the rim.

In today's NBA where it's about switches and 3 point shooting it's more on that. They've done a very poor job in this half.

For myself it's usually that straight forward. Outside of the 2020 Lakers and 2021 Bucks most of the teams that have won a title in the last 10 years did not have "rim protection". Just really versatile big who could stay in front of perimeter players.
