I think the explianation they gave was that when Foyle touched the ball it was under .3 sec, which if yall remember after the derek fisher shot in 04(?) that any touches after .3 seconds wasn't going to count.

I hope the NBA takes a look at this game, however not only the last shot but the entire game and the way it was officiated.

I am actually surprised on how the Rockets have played these couple of games, including 2 wins and fighting the Celtics to the last minute last game, all without Tracy Mcgrady.

Anyways I wish yall good luck for the season and I really hope DHoward continue to tear it up, he has been very entertaining to watch this season.

First off, I (and hopefully the others here) appreciate your classiness. I'm impressed by the Rockets fans posting here tonight.

And I didn't think about that, but you're right. The only logical explanation is the .3 rule, in which case it may have been the right call... but really, it's still a dumbass call.

We should have sent Pat Garrity down to the refs' locker room. Those bastards wouldn't get out of there without losing a limb.

yea we dont want garrity to lose a limb, we need him :wavefinger: jkjk

You are allowed to tip the ball in that situation.

After we were down 7 in the first quarter, I expected a loss. Actually before the game started I was unsure if we would win. I just don't get this team at all.

Too me, it didn't look like it counted

first I thought it was good.
But his fingertips looked like his fingertips were on the ball.

That was a tough call no matter what though.

But let me tell you, we really didn't derserve to win that game.

Outside of Jameer, everybody else played like crap. We were out hustled out rebounded, The perimeter players where tourched tonight defensively. And Lewis just show me more reason of why he is a waste of money. I don't know why you give him the ball in a situation like that. Where clearly he should have never been given the ball. Dooling was ball hogging way too much, he never tried to pass the ball. We played with no heart.

and if we were to go to overtime we would have probably lost.

The best was watching that wide angle replay and seeing all three of the refs looking at each other like they don't know what to do or what just happened.

yeah, very classy posts from the houston guys here tonight.
I didn't even knew about that rule, but if that rule applies then it makes the NBA even more ridiculous... so now the games don't have 48 minutes but 47m59s7tenths? We can't get a tap in 3 tenths of a second? Now that's ridiculous and if that rule really is in the books then this game is the proof that it must be removed quickly.

Of course it didn't look good to you.

Just STFU.

- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I just came from the game.I don't agree with the call the only thing I can think of is that they might have based it on how much time was on the clock when it hit his hand?
Also it shouldn't have come down to this, we don't deserve the win if the Magic waited until the last six minutes of the game to start playing. For the most part of the game we were outplayed. They slepwalk for 3 and a half quarters on the court.

That's a good proposal, but I think the .3 sec rule only applies to actually taking a jumpshot. As far as I know, you can tip the ball with .3 left, but you just can't catch and shoot.

Didn't David Lee tip the ball in vs Charlotte with .1 left?

To be fair to the refs, it must be hard for people with no intelligence to speak of to make that kind of decision.

Like has been said, tips are allowed.

David Lee tipped in a shot with .1 on the clock last year on an inbounds play, which is impossible as far as I'm concerned, but they called it good. So this was good anyway, and based on that precedent, it was good by a mile.

guys, guys, we gotta understand this, yes you can tip it in with .1 left unless you're a player on the Orlando Magic....but anything is good to go...

it didn't only looked like it didn't count to you but you also wanted it not to count.
Better yet, you wanted it to look like it counted but being such a close call that you could say that it didn't look like it counted to you so you have an excuse for you typical posts.

And yeah, I couldn't care less about what you're gonna answer to this.
