Package Ryno + JRich + fillers.. Unless they take Hedo, it's hard to match salary for Rudy Gay without giving them like half the team.

I'm not sure who they have at the SF position outside of Gay, but they might take Hedo to be there starting SF, the only guy i can think of at the 3 for them is Sam Young and i don't think they want him to be their starter.

Rudy Gay is overrated. I'd rather have Hedo who is familiar with Dwight and can run an offense. Gay is an above average scorer who put up most of his scoring on a bad Memphis team. Memphis' best year post Pau Gasol was last year while Gay was injured. NOT a coinidence.

I'm hesitant as well when it comes to trading our guys while we're looking as good as we are right now, but i wouldn't mind if we traded Ryno and Hedo for a guy like Gay who can score and is very good defender as well.

Interesting...

As NJ Nets fall to Cavs in Cleveland, All-Star Deron Williams not seeing the benefits of playing in big market

“I’m sure I could make a couple more hundreds of thousands or something like that a year (on endorsements), or maybe a $1 million per year,” said the 27-year-old, who is married with four children. “But you could go somewhere in Florida or Texas and you’re not losing 8% state tax, plus you don’t have a city tax, plus the cost of living isn’t two times higher than anywhere else.”

I gotta say, every time DJ makes a thread, news just happens to appear out of nowhere to feed us

But on basketball, Ryan>Cousins. I'm finally sold on Ryan. He has definitely taken full advantage of the "Sweet Lew" position and playing it with a ton of aggressiveness and confidence. We don't need a bonehead like Cousins coming in here and ruining chemistry like this:
JohnDenton555 John Denton
@DwightHoward : "It's starting to remind me of team that went to Finals. Instead of pting fingers, we stick together and get the job done."

 You gotta love it. I can definitely see the players playing better together. This team has a lot of potential and I really like what we got in JJ, Ryan, and Dwight, and even though he had a rocky first 3 quarters tonight, Hedo still helped a lot in the 4th. I want to see how this team plays against Chicago on the 6th. Anything short of win would be a disappointment.

C'mon man! You can't tease us like that any more than he just did! Watch his team go 0-33 and D-Will and Dwight finally come to their senses and D-Will demands a trade to ORL.

Not going to lie, by the trade deadline if Ryan Anderson is consistently putting up ~22ppg/9rpg/3apg in 30mpg & shooting >40%fg; AND we're winning a crap load of games... I think I'd rather just keep him

I like the positivity in this thread after all the doom & gloom that happened in the other Official Speculation threads.

The Lakers, according to sources who spoke with Peter Vecsey, offered Pau Gasol in a trade with the Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

The trade offer came following the canceled trade for Chris Paul.

I've been saying this, if we're forced to trade Dwight, I say you do a 3 three team trade in which we receive Love and Bynum.

If it's looking like Deron Williams is going to Dallas ... wont be till the offseason probably but

Then maybe we can use that as leverage and gut the team for him (trade JJ and Anderson) if it means Dwight would resign

Doubt NJ does this even with added 1st's but it gets them a good haul considering how well Anderson and JJ are playing.

I'm going to stick to my guns, if we're around .700 at the trade deadline, no trade, just roll with it and go for the ring. If he leaves and we fail, might be the last time we see the playoffs for a couple years. Hopefully it'll be worth it.

Deron Williams is a smart man what he said, is nothing different than what Dwight already knows they had to of been talking of how to team up. the more the nets lose+the better ryan/jj etc and magic play=better chance to get dwill and sign d12
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Honestly if we can trade for deron I would assume bbd could be traded without pissing Dwight off. He's been really sh^tty so far.... Trade Nelson, bbd,Clark, draft pick for deron. Is a+ in my eyes.
