our defense is very very good, especially giving up the 3... which is why im praying hard that without our bigs we dont double, because we will surely lose if we do..

our bench should have fun running circles around yours, but im afraid if we start doubling...

We lost to a depleted Celtics team... twice

Once without Rondo, Allen, Wilcox (and whoever else), and then another time without Rondo, Allen, JO (and whoever else).

And on top of that, Orlando isn't playing with any heart or effort (especially after half-time, for various reasons we can only speculate on, but it's probably because of the Dwight trade situation/calling teammates out)... So that's why we're worried :-/

ya i get you... and i watched those games lol as you all know im a howard hater ... cant stand him.. think you guys are better off in the long run without him, IF you can get some assets in a trade for him

but i just remember how you guys always play vs us, on top of every team finds a way out of a slump, on top of us having just battie for 12 mpg, and recently signed bum francisco allen at center right now... thats it...

then we have to resort to brand at Center... and then rookie 2nd round 6'9 225 pound lavoy allen at center ...

so.... it could get rough lol

it was so bad vs the nets with brand fouling out... we were running iguodala at PF and thad young, who is already undersized at PF, he was playing Center...

LOL no joke

We've played Glen Davis, Ryan Anderson, and Earl Clark at Center behind Dwight... so I feel your pain.

Yeah those days of us playing well against you... those were the happy times for us, but not so much now... things have changed.

A lot of us are ready to move on without Dwight, but there are still games to be won and issues to be sorted. I just want the Magic to play with heart and effort... but I don't think they will until the big elephant in the room is addressed.

ya i dont think so either, even if you guys win tonight, i just dont see you going past the first round.. teams have figured out for the most part not to double dwight... how he doesnt have more technicals this year already i dont know because he literally barks at the refs and cries every time up and down the court..

yall's complaining has gotten so bad mainly because of him that otis had to come out and tell stan to stop...

theres a lot of teams you guys can get a lot of young talent back from... hopefully you guys can swing a good deal and rebuild correctly...

also, i know alot of you blame otis for the team right now... but dont forget dwight has been the main reason some of those deals went down, then he blames everyone in orlando for not making a good enough team smh....

dude's a cancer

i'm with you 100% but we know how stan is...he's the ultimate window dresser....He'll say that we need to work on some things and shake things up but then game time he'll go right back to old unreliable...It has been the same pattern every game for a while now....

Duhon plays big minutes
Q plays decent minutes even though he's not bringing anything to the table
He leaves Big Baby in the game for way too long even when he's having a bad game
Takes out the Hot hands just to balance out the minutes
Plays Defensive lineups when we need an offensive one

I would love to see Liggins have a chance to use his defensive skills out there since he basically was a defensive specialist in College...The man himself says he patterns his game after Tony Allen so Liggins knows where his bread is buttered...not asking for consistent minutes but on days where our wing defense needs to at least be solid why don't we get a guy out there that has the qualifications for the job....He could be used strictly on a situational basis

Harper should be used out there if Baby doesn't have it and if we still need an Stretch 4 option if Ryan is resting....Harper can be used like Rashard Lewis but never sees the light of day because of....who knows...that's the problem no one really knows why the Rooks aren't playing...could be that they're not that good or it could be the Mandatory sit on the bench for a year to learn the system kinda thing....

Nelson failed the NBA's mandated concussion test and is out until he can pass it.

Teams don't usually bounce back from a slump on the road. It's usually a home game where they blow out an awful team.
Sooo... I predict a loss.

Hedo
Liggins
Clark
Harper
Howard

I'd just like to see how they play with Dwight on the floor.

Well, I don't care if we win the game. I mean play them because we should look for the future.

Philly is arguably best defense in the league right now, allowing fewest PPG and allows lowest 3P% in the NBA at 28%

JoshuaBRobbins Josh Robbins
Tonight, the #Orlando #Magic will try to avoid their 1st four-game losing streak since they lost 4 on Dec. 14-21, 2010.

Anyone remember the third week of December 2010?

Tony Battie is starting for Philly tonight. I wish he was still here.

Nice game thread, OP.

I'm meh on this game. I'll watch, but I don't really care whether we win or lose---I see positives in both. The locker-room issues and Dwight drama have created perverse incentives for me as a fan: we get blown-out again, perhaps at long last Otis will get axed, Dwight will get shipped out, and we can rebuild.

When's the all-star break?
