I think the majoity of people here liked the trade at that time...

Gortat had stone hands and played 5 mins a game.
Carter was shooting 17% on away games from 3
We were losing to bad teams

J.Rich was putting up 20ppg
Hedo didn't completely call it quits yet

Don't let Gortats numbers fool you, That's 100% Steve Nash... He's still the man with butter fingers.

Not really. All he's said is that we're going to take a serious look at the trade market after March 1st.

i bet the knicks would want to keep Melo and Lin. The deal would problaby Stat or Chandler + fillers(they need big men also). Anyway, thats just a rumor...

Stat and Chandler for Dwight will never happen, thats the worst deal of them all.

I'd rather do the Minny/Lakers rumored deal than the NY deal... I just can't even comtemplate a 31 year old Amare and a 33 year old Chandler, both on long deals, coming here.

HELL YEAH I WOULD.

I remember last month people discussing a Dwight for DeMarcus + filler trade idea... I said NO to that.

But a Ryan + Redick for Demarcus is a no brainer... any combination of players (except for Howard) for Cousins is a good deal imo... he might be a bonehead, but he also has a lot of heart and shows intensity... wears his emotions on his sleeve; he's young and extremely talented for a Big. A Dwight/Cousins front-court would be beast.

Amare has been playing bad/average next to Chandler and he is a bad contract. Amare and Chandler do nothing but stick is in mediocrity, while strapping us with one, arguably two bad contracts.
